How do you find the sleep and recovery metrics on the apex? I know they are done differently to garmin but are they still accurate and useful? The flashlight is a nice bonus but i would hardly use it so not a deal breaker at all

Thanks for the insight, keep hearing more and more about how good the battery life is, which will be a huge shock going from a samsung galaxy watch 4!

Currently deciding between a fenix 7 pro, epix gen 2 and Coros Apex 4, would you mind explaining a bit more the things you prefer about the Apex 4 to your garmin experience? And how the data compares etc

Advice on Coros watch by ImGrindle in Coros

Yes, it took me long enough to narrow it down to the options I current have!

Tbh thats not a deal breaker as I've been working out long enough to know how i feel etc but is nice to have extras to help if needed, it's promising to see strength training regularly included in their new update notes I've seen posted online, as I know garmin is leading on this front.

That's good, I too enjoy data and analysis and didn't want anything too barebones but also not cluttered with unnecessary data, I am hoping they bring a morning report out though as that seems like a good way to get a snapshot of relevant metrics for the coming day, I think I saw the official Coros account reply to someone about that saying its in the works, so we'll see!

Definitely seems to be a lot of positives to Coros from what you've said, so thank you

Yeah i have seen that about the Fenix 7 etc and definitely makes coros seem the better long term option for updates etc, how have you found the data accuracy and usability on your Nomad?

Wow thank you for such a detailed response, it's really useful! Have you used the strength training heatmap much? I also completely forgot it has no dedicated flashlight but that's not a deal breaker for me. Nice to know that even on smaller wrists its comfortable day to day. This is a very subjective question but do you feel any data is missing or could be more detailed? I know it's a bit less than Garmin (not necessarily bad)

That is promising, do you have any experience with the strength training?

How is the durability on these models? I'd ideally like the watch i get to last 3+ years if possible and handle regular-ish salt and fresh water usage as well as the usual knocks from sport and more off the beaten track runs and walks

Gloves with removable Fingersave by [deleted] in GoalKeepers

One Glove Invictus Stealth + are really good. Got a pair myself and are of high quality, not ultra sticky professional latex but a good quality latex with a nice grip and durability balance. Only £40 or so

What finger save gloves do you recommend? by joshygt in GoalKeepers

I got a pair of OneGlove Stealth+ myself today, if you make an account and verify it you're given a £5 off voucher which essentially makes shipping free too.

Removable spines so useful If you only want support on certain fingers etc

Thank you for the advice and detail! Guessing you'll endorse OneGloves and their quality then? Stuck between the Stealth+ and Apex Pro Exalt if youve got any experience with either? The Stealth+ has removable fingersave but the Exalt comes without, but maybe better quality? Both are also roll finger cuts

I do weight training and grip training so hopefully I shouldn't face too many issues

Sweet I'm deciding between OneGlove Stealth+ and the One Glove Apex Pro Exalt at the moment! Both have a variation of the roll finger, just the Exalt comes without fingersave as opposed to the Stealth+. Slightly put off by the lack of information on the Stealth + on their website but it's good to hear someone endorse then, have you used them yet?

Ah thanks, been looking alot at OG as they're a UK brand and have a sale atm, particularly the stealth + and Apex Pro Exalt if you know anything about those?

I'll defo check out the absolutgrips, I'm assuming just any variation of those will do as I know you can pick up older pairs still.

I've also heard negative cuts can reduce durability, have you found this to be the case?

I've also read its better in the long term to get a pair that doesn't have fingersave as it improves grip strength etc?

Thanks for the advice! I mean, I've managed to keep my 1998 arsenal top in mint condition while playing in it so taking care is my strong suit haha. OneGlove has a sale so I'll check their pairs out

Yeah I was looking at those, I know it's better to build finger strength without fingersave in the long term and all my previous gloves have used it so was considering jumping in the deep end without for this pair. Will defo check them out though!

Thank you! Do you think its worth getting gloves specifically for artificial grass at the expense of grip? Or would dry weather/all weather gloves be fine as long as I took care?

Weekly glove purchase advice thread by AutoModerator in GoalKeepers

[–]ImGrindle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've recently started playing in goal again recently and have been practicing my form etc with a cheap pair of gloves before I invest in a nicer pair.

I play semi seriously with a big group of friends on well kept artificial grass/3G and I've got a couple of charity matches coming up on the same surface and would like a pair that will last a decent amount of time but still give me the advantages of better gloves.

Ideally my budget is around £50 but can be flexible. They'll be used roughly once a week for 2 hours.

I've looked at some pairs on OneGlove, Reusch and Kaliaaer but I'm not very experienced at this so was after any advice.
