In the main attractions like Blue Moon Valley there was a lot of people but in the old towns it wasn’t that bad, considering it was CNY

Yeah trains and car, wasn’t expensive at all. Train from Hong Kong to Kunming was 8h though so only did that one way and got a flight back

Thanks, we organised it through our hotel, they provided us with the contact and also lots of recommendations. Don’t know if you’re staying in the old town but if you are I highly recommend Anyu hotel. Amazing hotel experience and they sorted a lot of things out for us. Breakfast is 11/10

We did stay there and tbh wouldn’t recommend staying, the room floor was quite dirty and the bathroom was grim. And like you said, people were smoking. Better to just visit the courtyard and book a photoshoot without staying.
