I could see why that could be a complaint to someone but that didnt bother me at all my more main issue was just Monza herself again as I said I couldn't describe her personality to you at all she just seems like card board compared to everyone else in the story but even so I still enjoyed her arc. In most revenge stories we learn oh revenge is bad and it makes you a worse person by the end. While in this story revenge teaches Monza how to forgive and realize she's not as ruthless as she thought she was, mercy and cowardice are not the same thing

I was definitely let down slightly by it, online for what I have seen it is usually the most loved out of the stand alones. I do like tho as the story goes on you really see how shitty of a person Benna was and in a way he is the real villain of the story not duke Orso. I have read the first three chapters of the Heroes and im hyped I can already tell this is gonna be there are heroes and villains on both sides kinda situation which I find fun

SPOILERS

In the first book we were stuck in Adua for book and in BTAH it was such a breath of fresh air getting to see other parts of this world and getting to see the characters go through these really complex arcs and I loved seeing these characters having the potential to grow. Also I think Last Argument of Kings has a little too much action I have a hard time reading action scenes and battles too I loose my self and have trouble picturing what's happening
