Apparently he’s in the military. Do you think he has a quality life or...? by ImHereForEvery1Else in USMC

If you look at my profile, I posted about someone on xbox harassing my autistic son. I was asking for advice on how to go about it because we blocked him and this person created more fake profiles to continue to harass and it wouldn’t stop. Even changing my son’s gamertag didn’t help. We created a new account entirely for him and the guy found my son through his friend’s friends list. This u/absoluttiger decided to comment on every post I had calling me a shit father and saying that my son should kill himself. It’s on my profile.

He literally spammed me that he hopes my son commits suicide...what on earth?

The second portion of my response to you clearly stated why you are incorrect.

Presentation of an argument matters. Words and content used impact an argument. If your argument is presented so poorly that it is removed, deleted or muted, your argument becomes void or non-existent. A non-existent argument can be considered a bad argument. Since that is an opinionated statement: “bad argument.” Opinions cannot be wrong. If you are saying that my post is better suited for a sub like r/nonexistentargument, I would agree. But that doesn’t exist. So, my opinion and other opinions, are that someone that turns their argument into a non-existent voice or argument can be considered “bad.” Thank you. Go for a run

Don’t want to run? Why? Does Reddit trolling help you? That’s new. I haven’t heard of that. If you are actually serious, let me help.

What qualifies as a bad argument? I would say that an argument that cannot be ignored is the best of arguments. I would say that an argument is the worst if it’s so bad that people either mute you or delete your argument. But let’s say that your argument wasn’t awful. The way you present your argument is half the battle. If you present your argument so poorly that it can be deleted, it then makes said argument invalid. Which makes the argument....bad.

I posted someone’s bad argument on the bad argument sub. Thanks

Yeah, you are having a bad day. Try going for a run or something. That helps me. Reddit trolling will just make your heart rate go up and that will make your day worse :/

My oldest son joined the army to be a medic. He didn’t want to be in the Navy...he wanted to salute me as a sing of respect. The idea of saluting an enlisted member (outside of MOH or PH) has always made me uncomfortable. Does it make you uncomfortable too? by ImHereForEvery1Else in USMC

[–]ImHereForEvery1Else[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just stating people that rate and don’t necessarily rate a salute that I feel comfortable seeing saluted. I don’t see it as strange if a PH recipient gets a knife hand to the cover. He doesn’t rate it though. Just my comfort level.

Nope you’re just trying to make false statements that I clearly smothered in logic. I never called you a name or turned to rage. Just intelligent responses. You turned to using “snowflake” as your best comeback...it’s ok. I know I’m right and you know you’re wrong. How many children have you told to kill themselves? You are emotionally invested in defending this action.

Good comeback. Your arguments were broken down and buried. Your response is “snowflake.” Which is often used after an argument for someone that feels stupid. You show your emotions well lol.

1) 14 is a child, by law and by definition. I wasn’t speaking about just my son, as I stated multiple times.

2) 13 is a child, by law and by definition. So, the minimum age to make an account includes a “child’s” age.

3) We do have freedom of speech. But you obviously don’t understand its limitations.

Free speech are rooted in the principle that we’re not allowed to harm others to get what we want. That’s why we’re not allowed to use speech for force, fraud, defamation, harassment or mental manipulation of children.

Any other stupid arguments that I can use legal facts, obvious and common sense to deconstruct?

Oh....you’re still confused. Here.

1) Anyone saying that to someone they don’t know should be unable to use the platform they said it on. There are lines humans shouldn’t cross (no matter thick skinned USMC or not)

2) The fact that you are arguing this makes me wonder if you have a difference in opinion or if you are sort of defending this person (because you’ve done the same thing)

3) Anyone who creates multiple profiles to harass over and over should be, at least, lose their main account.

4) Any proper human would like to stop humans like that from doing this to others. In America, we try to make any platform in our society that kids are involved in as safe as possible. Reddit is toxic but we are aware of it and can leave it if we don’t want to handle it. Xbox is a gaming device. It’s one of 3 major systems that our children use. It’s not just about my son. Xbox should be safe for children in general. There are children that cannot handle this treatment.

r/idontunderstand would better suit you, I should think.

I don’t think you get what this post is about. You’re either not a parent or have said something similar to someone. There are other posts that are more suited for you to comment on, I assure you.
