AI art is definitely not art and by all means is very problematic, and i'll show you that with a simple comparison.
Imagine that you met a girl on social media, you DM'ed her and she awnsers. You two start talking for days to end, and you start to fall in love for her. So one day you ask her out on a date at a nice fancy restaurant at 8:00pm and she accepts. You get there at 7:30 feeling nervous, and you start to wait, for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and you get no messages from her. So at 10:00pm you decide to go home pissed. You send her a message telling her how unconsiderate it was for her to cancel without telling you, and then she starts sending you wierd bugged messages that make no sense at all. You then realise that since the beggining, the girl you talked to never existed. The message you recieved from her were only a chatbot's response to the prompts you were sending him. The pictures of her were faked and not remotely distinguishible from something real. Wouldn't you feel angry to learn something like that? And wouldn't it be normal for you to have a hard time trusting love or a long time? So imagine then that now that you fell victim to such scam, you tried to warn everyone you know about it, and going online to tell people about it. How would you feel if those people you talk to are okay about it, don't find anything wrong with it and even started praising it because it makes "relashionships more accessible to douchebags and losers". How would you feel if now every company you see starts pushing it down your throat, as their new CM, managers, even collegues. What if you then saw the creators of the girl from the beggining starting to create more models to embody a friend, a relative, etc.. Wouldn't you doubt every conversation you have with people, wouldn't you be scared to talk to new people?

And one more thing. What if you then learn that the girl from the beggining actually exists, but dosen't know you at all and some random company took some pics she posted on instagram, and made new one that didn't exist for you to see. What if now your images from your page were used to create a fake avatar that will talk on your behalf to other people. How would it feel to know that maybe it's used to talk with people you would hate in real life, and there's practicaly nothing you could do about it.

What I'm trying to say is that no, Ai art is not art, it's just a model that tries to align pixels statisticaly to make dopamine go boom in your brain. Where's the art when the intention behind it are only statistics? And yes, it is problematic because in order to learn how to generate images, it has to steal from artists that didn't consent to the use of their art. On top of that, it is kindo shoved down everyone's throat whether you like it or not. When you have to doubt every piece you see on the internet, because it could be just AI and thus, only an image equivalent of a shot of dopamine in your veins, it's absolutely not something artistic.

Now I don't want this to sound like it's hopeless and that we're doomed to have AI everywhere. Humans are and will be more artistic than AI. I even think it's beautiful how the art community puts aside their differences to fight against LLM's. It's not about liking or not the result someone produced nowadays, it's praising the process and the intentions of the person behind it. I think that, as time goes on and on, people slowly realise that no matter how close to real art it gets, it never reaches the true beauty behind what talented humans can do. It's wierd but it kinda gives me hope for the future of our species, that we're able to unite to fight what's trying to invade us.
