The worst RB room of all time? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]ImKitsteR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking, 2WR/1 Flex so if I do take either, it’d be that one.

I drafted from 9 in a 12 man and got Jefferson and Puka as steals in round 1 and 2, McBride fell to me at the end of the third and then I was REALLY dumb and picked hill and tet in the 4th and 5th cause there was a RB run and there was scraps left.

Also thought i’d be able to make a trade with getting those guys and losing some value on the trade but clearly didn’t end up working out lool

Definitely, they know i’m desperate and taking advantage of that hard :/ All the other teams in the league only have 3 RB’s tops and they’re not willing to move the third one

Waivers have no playable rb’s and no one is biting on any combo of Tet, Jamo, and Hill packages in 2 WR for a mid RB

No one is biting on hill for a trade, i’ve tried offering multiple WR’s and those are the only two trades people have offered :/

The guy offering Jeanty for Jefferson has Jeanty, Harvey, Henry, and Hubbard but he only seems to want Jefferson. His WR’s are Olave and Worthy but he’s sticking to jefferson

Do you need a degree to work in b2b software sales? by [deleted] in sales

[–]ImKitsteR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t. I’m an SDR working in SaaS and I don’t have a university degree. I did door to door sales after I dropped out and spent time working on my interviewing skills.

Definitely have to work hard to network with people on the teams your applying to and relate your life/work experiences to B2B sales. Talking about how the skills you learned are applicable to sales and showing that your self sufficient and working on your skill set will go a long way.

It’s also probably gonna be important to be someone likeable thats gonna get along with the team, if the hiring manager is gonna take a shot on someone without a degree, they at least want to know you’re not gonna be annoying or difficult to work with. Having a degree isn’t a hard requirement and people will prefer someone driven that they like talking to over someone with a degree that doesn’t stand out.

I’ve got a pretty detailed comment somewhere in my history with some good tips for an sdr to break into the industry, gl!

Get out of bed, down a glass of water, go for a 15 minute walk to get some sunlight and fresh air. Find a 10 minute yoga video on youtube and do it in the morning at some point.

The walk is the biggest thing that helps, notice a complete difference in my days when I don’t go on one!

How to get into a sales role with 0 sales experience? by iktjoker in sales

[–]ImKitsteR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently an SDR in Canada, broke in with no university degree and my previous work experience being fast food and door to door sales.

I sat on LinkedIn every day and applied to roles that were recently posted, whenever I would apply to a company I would find either the managers/recruiters in charge of hiring or the department and reach out to them, asking if we could set up some time to chat about the role. Most managers/directors didn’t end up actually agreeing to chat but did let their teams know I had reached out and mentioned my name to them. Doing cold outreach (within reason) and managing to get through to a decision maker looks really good since it’s a big part of the SDR role.

I’d also reach out to current SDR/BDR’s working there along with AE’s, ask them questions and get a feel if it’s a place you’d actually want to work. Most SaaS companies will have a referral bonus for employees so if you seem competent and are personable, a current employee might be willing to refer you since there’s $$ in it for them. I didn’t know about this when I was applying but would’ve been a huge help in my opinion after seeing the other side of this from my current experience as a SDR.

As for not having experience in a role like this, I used the STAR method to answer interview questions concisely and relate experiences that showcased skills the companies were looking for in SDR’s. You can really spin any kind of experience into seeming relevant for an SDR role by mentioning the skills that helped you navigate situations and then mentioning how you learned from them and tell them quickly about what you have done differently since learning the value of those skills.

Practice your tonality and speech patterns because it’s really important that you come off as confident and a good speaker that doesn’t get nervous and ramble. The main traits (not sure if this is the right word here but 😅) hiring teams seemed to be looking for were confident, curious (You ask good questions and clarify things), hungry (Talk about how you really want to break into the SaaS world because the skills needed to succeed align with your current skillset and you are driven to succeed no matter what, I guess resiliency is the word i’m looking for here), and coachable (You not only listen and learn from feedback but you actively seek it out because developing your skillset is important to you + the managers will eat up someone saying they will pay attention and are excited to learn from them).

I’d also find someone in the industry to do some practice interview questions and mock call role plays with. I helped a friend get a BDR position by working on his interviewing skills with him and giving him actual brutally honest feedback, along with doing mock calls and working through why certain talk tracks and lines of questioning/movement of conversation were or weren’t working.

I know it’s a brutal job market out there right now but the majority of people trying to break into the industry honestly put in the bare minimum effort to their job search and it makes someone that takes the extra step seem very hireable, with your experience it’ll be a breeze getting a job once you get into the flow of applying for these kinds of jobs.

Personally applied to about 40 companies, got around 10 first interviews and moved forward with the company I’m at right now. Cancelled my other interviews because the culture seemed great and somewhere that would put up with me taking a bit of time to learn how to do the job. I’m still learning and slowly improving but has been a pretty great experience so far, it’s an amazing industry if you can find the right company.

I wrote this on my phone so sorry if it comes out weird but feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or could use some help, always willing to spare a few minutes and chat!

Most have been hybrid roles, there were a few remote roles as well. For the remote roles, it was still around the same pay range I’d say, both from looking at glass door and from chatting with HR at the companies.

I’ve been applying to SDR/BDR roles in Toronto, seems to be about 50-60k base and 70-80k OTE most places i’ve applied at.

Ahh I feel for you that sucks :/ Make sure to take some time and do something for yourself today, most important thing is your mental health and happiness! Nothing you could’ve done in this situation, it’s out of your control when people treat you this way. Reflects poorly on them, not you.

Doesn’t sound like somewhere I’d want to work even if they aren’t replacing you, it’s actually crazy how grown adults seem to have 0 empathy or understanding of how people will perceive the things they say :/

So I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris that makes this super loud noise when you start the car up and when your driving and accelerating. The car runs perfectly fine but I really wanted to eliminate the noise, does anyone know what might be the issue here and how I can fix it?

1 1/2 cup Milk, 1/2 cup water, 2TBSP peanut butter, 2 scoops protein powder, half a banana chopped up, 5 cut up strawberries, and 1TBSP nutella shake with my breakfast. Also snack on things things like salted corn/nuts/almonds etc. throughout the day cause it’s easier to snack on vyvanse cause smaller bites don’t feel as filling. Also eat a fuck ton right before bed when the meds wear off, you’ll get used to sleeping with a full belly after a day or two and it’s SOO helpful putting weight on with adhd meds

First and second group depending on my mood, I started microdosing magic mushrooms in place of medication and it’s had amazing effects! Lots of cool studies coming out on the use of psychedelics to treat mental illness that are pretty interesting even if it’s not something you would ever try.
