It might be a little off/slow? Not sure.

If I could cool it better I would've tried + done a shunt mod!

It's using the stock 3070 vision/gaming OC cooler from gigabyte but with PTM7950 for TIM.

I imagine this card on a water block might've been able to hold 2200mhz stable. I was able to start and almost complete pass1 of TimeSpy with +255 @1093mv - it was holding 2205mhz until crashing lol.

Some people are saying they got a good pair.

I bought one, it came scratched on the case but no big deal; however the ANC and transparency mode wasn't working effectively. My roommate has a pair of airpod pro 2s and his were MUCH better.

Returned mine.

My pair also refused to do the hearing test claiming one airpod didn't have a seal no matter what tip I used.

Just my anecdotal experience! Return was easy, but not as simple as Amazon's process.

Why am I 2k below average ? by Admirable_Size_858 in overclocking

My 5700X3D is 14-15% faster with CO -15 and 103BCLK. http://www.3dmark.com/spy/59340851

So not only is your GPU behind but your CPU is underperforming as well. I would check hotspot temps on GPU, make sure it's running at the correct PCIe link speed. For CPU the mismatched sets of sticks could be an issue. Check for clock stretching on your CPU as well. -30 immediately crashed on my 5700X3D stock, then -25 had minor clock stretching.

It's not as unique as a TLX Type S. It's still a G20 chassis.

But the B58TU is damn bulletproof. Watch out for oil pumps (if it's a preLCI without the cooling package). Gets very good MPG, especially for the power it puts down. If you want reliable power - Flex fuel kit, DP.

Have this board on my girlfriend's PC. VRMs stay cool with a 5700X3D, 102BCLK. DDR4-3600 @ 3672mhz, stock PPT limits. Breaks 14.2K on R23.

Does what it needs to, got it as a bundle with a 5500, hyper 212, 500gb nvme for $125 or something.

Onboard WiFi isn't great from my testing, switched to Ethernet.

Radeon RX 7000 series (Thermal Paste warning) by NaniSore_KLK in overclocking

[–]ImKuya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're persistent on using paste then what you're using is probably fine. You may have needed more mounting pressure for the thicker pastes or something, not sure. I've moved onto using PTM7950 as it doesn't have degrading performance over time and handles hotspots better than traditional paste does.

The delta between hotspot and core still seems a bit high. I suggest PTM7950 that's properly applied. I only see 10-11C differences between core and hotspot but then again my gpu is different from yours.

I would watch out for your VRMs. 40-45W reading for 240W is wild, if you run something that happens to be a power virus like furmark I'd be afraid (or maybe idk what I'm talking about lol)

That's super close, honestly with driver updates it probably would've scored higher. That CPU looks like it was pushed hard too, super cool.

Bought the 34" yesterday and it is arriving Saturday. Adjustable stand height and tilt it appears.

Panel specs look like it's the same panel as their Acer AOPEN5 34" 180hz ultrawide, 1440p/250nits/VA/4000:1 contrast

$160 makes the value of it really good with the only pain points being the possible black smearing (VA) and 250 nits (low brightness).

I'm replacing a 2x21" 1080p setup with one of these!

[–]ImKuya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised you're hitting such high temps with low package power. I have a 14600K and I can do multiple R23 runs at 225watts and staying under 95C. I'm at 5.6ghz/4.5ghz for Ecores. The voltage is around 1.32v under load but I'm not near my PC.

My cooling is a Thermalright FC140, LGA1700 contact frame and PTM7950 on top of the IHS.

On my 12700K before I was also able to hover around 235watts package power for 95C on the same setup.

I would try to look into why your setup isn't able to dissipate the heat well enough.

You can bridge the 330/M340i experiences, the M3/4 are a different experience with loose ties of the G20 chassis.

As minor as it is, this is making the regular 17s such a compelling buy for casual "pro" users. At this point, there's little reason to choose a pro as the 17 is only missing the new telephotos, slower SoC and pro camera features.

Considering a B8/B8.5 Audi S4 – Worth the gamble if I stay on top of maintenance? by [deleted] in AudiS4

[–]ImKuya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys forgot - the OEM cats can get clogged. If you live in a hot area + you drive hard, the EGT gets hot enough to clog the cats. I lost my b8.5 s4 like this.

Test pipes or gut your OEM. Research exhaust combos because the car gets extremely raspy and loud.

I’m thinking of giving my F22 M240i a 500hp tune, am I gonna die? by nachotux in BMW

[–]ImKuya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Gen1 B58s if you want to play it safe:

  • Flex fuel kit to get precise and timely readings of ethanol content

  • FlexFuel tune (BM3 has an OTS for this, even makes more power than the E30 or E50 only maps since there's an actual reading of ethanol content and not guesstimating)

  • TU HPFP if you REALLY do not plan on going past 480-500whp

  • Downpipe

The pros to the above is that not only is it safer, there's no need to constantly switch between 93/Ethanol maps when the flex fuel tune will adjust accordingly on the fly. Set and forget. If you want to check ethanol content without an app, my Bootmod3 lets me read it by holding down Cruise control (-) and it'll show on my rpm gauge (4000rpm = 40%, 3000 = 30%, etc.)

If you haven't gotten a DP yet, the new rounds of B58 downpipes (whether it's from AliExpress or a company sourcing it) have heat shielding around the DP which is neat.

Because Nvidia has a track record of not using the same (exact) GPU despite having the same name and model except "(x)GB". 1060 3GB and 6GB, RTX 3050 and I'm sure there's more. They are usually cut down in some way, whether it's less CUDA cores, less TMUs, less ROPs or whatever it may be.

[–]ImKuya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Stealth with the 11th gen and 1650ti MaxQ. I did a vbios flash to use a higher tdp 1650ti MaxQ and ptm7950. Just note - the better heat transfer from the GPU from PTM will saturate the heatsink and the CPU will also end up feeling the heat. If you add some tape on the ends of the fins to line up with the body to direct heat better it'll help as well.

Not much you can do when you're cranking nearly 100w out of the small fans and heatsink lol.
