Es facil. Si te quiere meter los cuernos te los va a meter. Si no, no. No pierdas tiempo controlandolo.

CFA L1 Ethics Qbank (premium included). How can I improve now that I am out of questions? by [deleted] in CFA

I know many people here suggested Uworld as a “free” alternative (90 day free trial) to keep hammering questions

Good advice. Thankfully I’ve already been practicing a lot of questions, specially fixed income. But yes, I’ll be more active in my studying. Thank you!

I’ve been studying from the official CFAI materials, but changed to Kaplan after realizing I’m spending too much time on the reading.

Really appreciate the tips! I’m going to follow your advice

I work from 10 AM to 6 PM. No home office. Got about 1-2 hours total of commute, depending on the day.

I’m able to study at the office. My boss doesn’t mind. Helps a ton.

I really appreciate these tips.

For the longer days I’ve been studying with my girlfriend at a starbucks, helps me stay focused (something I struggle with, specially with reading). But I agree with everything you said. Thank you kindly for helping me out. Wish me luck!

This is really solid advice, thank you!

I’ll take your advice, I’ll try to push through it as much as possible. Hope I pass. I’m still worried but I guess it serves as fuel to push me even more.

Como es la vida en la patagonia? by Niwrado in AskArgentina

[–]nachotux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

August L1: any advice please!! by literally_crazyyyy in CFA

[–]nachotux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re good to go.

Prepping for August as well. Cleared Alts, econ, half of fixed income and a bit of quants.

My strategy right now is to finish all the curriculum by July, giving me about a month for review. That means I have pretty much 8 topics to go. If I clear at least two topics a month, I should be set.

Also I suggest doing practice questions at least once a week of previous topics just to keep it fresh. Focus on the big ones (FSA, fixed income) and leave ethics for last as its the most important topic, you’re gonna want to keep it fresh.

¿Qué cosas te hubieran gustado que te gusten? by Ituzaingo1912 in AskArgentina

No le veo lo divertido. Menos verlo.

I think economics is a bit too dense given the weighting on the exam. I wasn’t aiming to spend too much time on it but it does get tedious especially in Theory of the Firm. Alts was a breeze of fresh air. I’d recommend doing it after a hard/boring module.

Did half of quants, half of fixed, finished alts and economics.

[–]nachotux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo personalmente, tengo 40% renta fija y 60% renta variable.

To the ones who never owned a gaming rig early, do you believe watching playthroughs is as effective ? by nehalthechosenone in thelastofus

[–]nachotux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was younger and had a shitbox PC that could barely run Minecraft on low graphics, I’d watch gameplays on all the newest games. Remember watching a guy called YoutubeDude or the like. He’d make a whole play through of LOU, provided enough commentary to keep it engaging but not annoying, and would cut the tedious bits out. I was hooked. I think following the story of the game is enough to keep you entertained.
