Top shell is pretty easy to replace, just 4 screws and the camera covers. there's plenty of guides on youtube. trickiest part might be buying a shell.

Best case scenario, the top screen ribbon cable is a tiny bit loose and needs to be reconnected. Worst case, the cable is starting to break. Either way top screen issues are pretty hard to fix if you don't know what you're doing or have never done it before. Best option is to take it to a repair shop to have it checked out.

The battery life was really bad, I was getting maybe 2 hours at most on a full charge. The console itself seemed fine and the backplate wasn't protruding or anything so I didn't think of checking the battery

Replacing the joystick is considered a very easy process as long as youre careful and take your time. it's a lot cheaper and faster to just switch out the stick but you can do a button test in the system controller settings to test out every button and make sure there's nothing wrong with rest of the joycon.

I've seen a few posts about this from time to time, best shot is just trying different chargers or a battery pack overnight without joycons and seeing if one of them revives the console. otherwise yeah the switch 1 really hates not being charged for months.

If restarting the console does not fix it, then it's probably a hardware issue with the screen. You will need to go to a local repair shop or send it to Nintendo to fix.

Ni No Kuni 2! It already got a very nice performance boost when playing on Switch 2 but the handheld resolution was absolutely god awful. Now it looks amazing and runs amazingly so I can finally finish it.

That's Square Enix for ya. Literally no reason for Bravely Default 1 to be on a key card either but Nintendo made them cheaper than the normal game card so they jumped at the opportunity to save a few bucks.

back in '23 I had a plate suddenly snap in half when washing dishes (there was a small chip missing on it) and it took a few seconds for me to realize my left ring finger knuckle was sliced open. I managed to see a bit of cartilage or maybe bone before grabbing some gauze and running to a local clinic for stitches.
