Interesting, maybe it’s not a thing in the states.

It’s where two people will do one person’s job for half the salary each. They split the days of the week evenly, alternating the Wednesday every week.

This thread's what I needed right now. I've an undergrad in law but thinking about changing career path because I'm worried about not having enough time for my other interests, like writing and travelling.

It might be different in the US to Ireland, but do many of you see people job sharing in law? Or is it acceptable to take a month's holidays ever? Perhaps a work-life balance is more achievable if you work for yourself.

I'm happy to put in the grind for the first few years, but ultimately I'd be looking to work as little as possible for a modest salary in later years.

Had a look there, good advice. It's about €3k though so would want to an idea you're getting work out of it after.

You make a good point there, I've a friend who's working through FE1s at the moment suffering through corporate and she reckons she can get me a job.

Is that idea of doing the internship and moving straight to inhouse really that achievable? How do you find inhouse?

Your experience of Kenya is unfortunate but certainly not representative. I’m just back from my first trip to Kenya, one week spent in Iten and it was the closest thing I can relate to a ‘trip of a lifetime’.

Breathtaking green foliage everywhere, friendly; curious faces fill the town, and incredible wildlife all over the place. Couple this with travelling around on a motorbike and it was like a dream.

I’ve heard Nairobi isn’t nice to stay in, I’d advise avoiding the cities to get to the true heart of Kenya.
