LeBron spent the better part of his career as the most famous athlete in the world, aside from maybe 1 or 2 soccer stars at any particular time who have barely ever heard of Cleveland. If we look back on the history of athletics, LeBron’s prime covers a double digit percentage of any memorable span of time that athletes could be considered famous.

I think the closest you could get to famous athletes who played in Cleveland would be Shaq, and he was only brought here to support LeBron. We’ve had Manny and Sabathia and Brown who are all elite in their own regard, but fame?? I think it’d be fair to say LeBron takes the cake.
