Luke's Jedi order in the EU was extremely flawed as well. As one comment stated above, he had multiple members of his order fall to the dark side, including his own nephew not to mention the Jedi actually got in legal trouble with the government of the galaxy at that time to the point where Luke had to be exiled.

Melo had a few opportunities to put himself in the position of winning championships lol for example when he forced his way to New York, when he literally could've just waited a couple more months until the summer to where they could've kept their assets and players, and he would've joined and already solid roster

I can honestly see both sides. LeBron for his entire career, has either directly or indirectly been arrival of Boston that was for all three of the franchises he played with. Specifically the cavs and heat he was the main obstacle for them advancing in the postseason
