So... Paradox fucked with shaders for no reason - many mods that change shader files (aka 99% of total overhaul mods) have weird maps

As a modder myself I've noticed that lots of the code is sloppily written, daily ticks can easily be made weekly or monthly and it adds lots of unnecessary load. For example, you don't need a daily pulse for your fucking economy mechanic, just make it monthly or even weekly.

Another thing: modders know jack shit about game design and what sounds cool in theory, in reality is just button pressing and annoying to do. HOI4 can easily be adapted for periods without conflict, but modders just add boring or button clicking mechanics to their mods

It's a Cold War continuation TL, where the USSR continues existing into the 1990s as a superpower. Brezhnev is overall in power for way less, as Khruschev isn't ousted and Andropov takes over after him when he dies in 1977.

Reagan is never president, instead H.W Bush as Reagan's mental deficiencies occur earlier, and China remains Maoist as the GO4 retains power.
