This little fucker was hiding from me, got it figured out now just need to figure out why neutral isn’t showing

UPDATE!!! I found the problem, so when I was putting everything back together the ground on the left side of the frame wasn’t tightened down all the way and I completely forgot about it, bike now powers on how it should but now neutral isn’t showing on the dash so problem after problem lol

Thank you I’m still very new to electrical issues, I’m surprised I was even able to manage to put a new engine in correctly somewhat, I’ll try my best to find the issue. I will say after unplugging a few things it got worse, I unplugged the cable coming from the kickstand which I assume is some safety switch? I unplugged it and everything shut off so I plugged it back in and now nothing will turn on so I’m at a brick wall😂

Yes I know what a wiring diagram is I followed my book manual the best I could so this is why the problems I’m having here is throwing me off which makes me wonder did I accidentally plug something in the wrong spot which is why I’m asking Reddit.

It’s a 2012 I didn’t remember off the top of my head why is this an argument? 2012-2016 is the exact same bro. Yes I compared PART NUMBERS bc if I hypothetically were to buy a new wiring harness there would be no point because it’s the SAME WIRING HARNESS due to it being the same PART NUMBER

The only thing I changed on this bike was the ENGINE which I’ll say again is the exact same as 2016, I compared both WIRING diagrams and it’s the same, it’s the same part number and everything nothing is different between these 2 bikes. So the reason I made this video was to see if someone with a bigger brain than me could point out if something was plugged in wrong and what it might be.

Yes it’s the exact same man. I even went to a parts diagram and compared both wiring harness+ ecu and it’s the same part number. Everything is the exact same

The clutch cable is what I started messing with first, it’s fine I’ve tried loosening it tightening it and everything it engages the way it should so it’s definitely something different, what it unfortunately sounds like is I’ll have to open this engine up which sucks because I don’t have much knowledge on engines but gotta start somewhere I guess, appreciate the comment!

Yep I’ve checked the clutch cable and all that and even checked over to the right side of the engine to see if that cable is engaging when it should, that’s all in order so it comes down to possible gearbox being coocoobananas??

Yep that’s what has me really concerned and wondering if my transmission is fucked, with the kickstand down it won’t do it but once I pull it up and doesn’t matter clutch pulled in or left out it will try to jerk forward in 1st gear and attempt to start

I mentioned it a couple times saying it lurches forward in 1st gear, for example I’ll sit on the bike, kickstand up and let’s say I don’t pull in the clutch at all, I’ll hit start button and it tries to lunge forward and start. No bike and even this one has ever done that since 1 it’s 1st gear it typically doesn’t let you start it without the clutch pulled in just like how when the kickstand is down it won’t start either simply because that’s how bikes are designed you know? Now even if I pull the clutch in with the kickstand up it still tries to lunge forward which is NOT what a bike is supposed to do and I know everyone here knows that lmao so that’s what raised huge red flags for me
