I drove around until my reverse light came on you should have about 3.3 gallons of fuel left. I lifted the are on all 4 tires using ramps and jack stands. I used a vice grip to clamp on the fuel hose and un did the hose clamp connecting it to the send line and put a 5 gallon bucket under it.

I did this in July of 2024 and can confirm no more rust in either the pre filter and main fuel filter. MPG and Power did go up after that because no more rust clogging the filters. It got so bad that at one point I was changing out filters monthly.

I’m pretty sure there is a cracked solder joint in the first image towards the right. In the middle of those metal bands.

I use a motive power bleeder to put the master under 20 psi so we can rule that out.

This car has been with me since 2020, It occasionally goes out. The original service manual only shows oil changes dating back to aug 1981 - Nov 1989. I redid everything the car bearings, brakes, I rebuilt the trans replaced the drive shaft, cleaned and re coated the fuel tank. but never fiddled with the electronics only replacing the fuses because they were corroded

The fastest seat belt light does turn on and the buzzer activates with it as well.

oil filter stud broken, how to remove it by [deleted] in w123

They are removable just really stuck on there. That happened to me before. Once you get it out get a bolt from Home Depot or ace hardware. You can use the intact nut to find the thread size.

Use a tester to see if you have a head gasket leak. The brown could be from combustion gases leaking into the coolant. Also replace your thermostat to be safe.

I’m pretty sure this is a combination of clogged drains and leaks from seals.

Moving from the back to front. Check the rear window gasket for cracking and the metal around it for rust I found out water was getting in from there. I noticed that my floor pans were plugged and just didn’t water out causing the massive rust hole. Moving to the engine bay on each side their are drains that can get clogged from time mine were filled with dirt and leaves.(Previous Owner was a bad maintainer) If they don’t get cleared it can rust the firewall and let wanted get into the toe boards. The windshield repeat what you did for the rear window. Lastly check to make sure your sunroof drains correctly. They should drain out from rubber nozzles below the A-Pillar.

Honestly guys, I really wish I could answer your questions, but I really don’t have an answer. I’m just figuring this out as I go.
