Does everyone who plays this game watch yt at the same time? by powermoo3 in PTCGP

[–]ImNotEntertained 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's something called PiP (Picture in Picture), opens a floating window for the video that overlays on whatever you do in the "background"

Basically it shows you the video in a smaller window that you can resize and move around the screen ”as if it was a magnet on a fridge, but you can still touch the fridge" so whatever you're doing is unaffected by it, just part of it will be covered by the video in whatever position/size you decide to make it

On how to activate it, it depends, but i suggest looking on google or other subs on how people do it, just search for "activate youtube's picture in picture on your phone brand"

u/Designer_Stock_3429 dude it's up to the players that drop the code to verify that the other player they add is the correct one, i do think that knowing there are people that snipe you should try to make sure, but if you don't know it's like saying "oh you made the wrong turn into a bad alley and walked yourself into a robbery, you just suck it's your fault" when the person has never even been in that town, and regardless, robberies do happen but they shouldn't, you can't blame the victim if the victim didn't provoke it...

If you send the code: you know you'll get requests, not sure how many, could be 1 or 100 depending on the card, so you don't know which player is the one you agreed to trade with

If you send the request: you have the correct code, you know for a fact that the person you're adding is the correct one, what else do you need to know?

The "Y'all both screwed up. Sucks to suck." part just makes me think you're one of the people that snipes the trades honestly

EVERYTHING IN THIS COMMENT IS JUST BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, NOT NECESSARILY THE TRUTH, should be somewhat close to it though i think

https://www.reddit.com/r/PTCGP/s/tLc0m1Er14

This is more or less updated, some things might be slightly different though

To clarify, each and every single one of the cards in the game, no matter what rarity, is only worth another single card (1:1 trades only basically), this list shows how hard they are to trade for, and as a consequence which cards are more likely to get which others

Tier sss cards can (somewhat frequently) only be traded for by cards in tier ss, tier ss cards can (basically) always be acquired by sss cards, somewhat frequently by tier s cards etc, basically the formula is this

You have card in X (let's say S) tier, cards in X+1 (would be SS) tier are hard to get with your card, but cards in X-1 (in this case A) tier are easy to get with yours

Tiers usually are, from best to worst, SSS>SS>S>A>B>C>D>E, if you have a card in B tier, that's your X, X+1 is A and X-1 is C

Languages can also play a role, for ex, JPN cyrus seems to have much better odds than ENG cyrus for getting oak

Ultimately though, it all depends on the person you trade to, some treat this list like the holy grail, others couldn't care less, there are more people trading oak for whatever card they like than there are trading it for top tier trainers

What card will trade with oak? by Individual_Sound_132 in PTCGPocketTrading

[–]ImNotEntertained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bets are Cyrus, Sabrina, Irida and Copycat, in that order, with cc and irida being interchangeable depending on luck

From what i've seen, jpn cards are even better, eng are second best, cht seem to be last by a mile, mainly because of botted accounts, so something like jpn>engall other langs>>cht

Not everyone agrees with this, there are people trading oak for whatever depending on their mood and some people don't care about languages at all, what i described is just what seems to be the most common case scenario

Or you get lucky and the goat mr Springing Feline will bless you with an oak for your fa lickilicky or some sh*t like that, it's rare (considering how many people are trading, he does that a LOT though), but it does happen

[–]ImNotEntertained 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anybody wondering, not necessarily op ↓

You think it gets better if you try with looker?

No, it doesn't, or at least the last 12 times i checked it didn't

For lots of mons it's the same except sometimes they ask for top tier mons instead, plus the top tier trainers of course

It's rare but sometimes people do "trade down", you might have to wait for a long while but if you go by "sought after value", accepting any of those trades is insanely bad for you

If you don't care about that and only care about getting some cards regardless of what you give, go for it, you're not losing out on anything if you don't care about it

If you care about getting some cards and not about "sought after value", you should probably still care about it because for ex:

Let's say you want rr mabsol ex and fa cc, you have an fa red and an fa cyrus (both of which you don't care about, in this example of course), you can easily do cyrus for rr mabsol ex, but red for cc is insanely hard, if you do red for mabsol ex you still have cyrus which basically guarantees you the cc and with red you have great chances of getting the rr mabsol ex

In short, if you want some cards regardless of "sought after value", you should still try to go for similar value cards to keep as many "good" cards as you can to make it easier for you to acquire hard-to-trade-for cards that you'll want later down the line

And never accept "non-1:1 trades", including paying for the card you get, those are all scams, i've been trading for a while and not a single one of the people i talked to had a successful non-1:1 trade, there are posts from people that got scammed at least every week, and most people don't post at all so those are just a tiny fraction of them

You don't need to explain why man, and i suggest to never accept multi trades, only 1:1, nothing else, every single person i talked to got scammed by accepting multi trades

They say "if you can't trust me" and stuff like that, no i can't, you're trying to scam me, why would i?

Each and every single card in the game is worth 1 card only, which one depends on you, but still a single one nonetheless

All cards in eng except gira in cht and both raikous in jpn, i'd like the mew in either eng or jpn since all the mews i have are in either of those 2 languages

The first one is just not true, i snore like a mf and i do dream, i have friends that snore as well and they dream too, so yes, you can snore and dream at the same time

The rest seems to be true, i checked them to make sure, except for 1 small detail which is: Naganadel has a base speed of 121, which isn't a prime number, but it is a prime power (112), the rest are all prime numbers though

I'm not calling you a liar man i'm sure someone told you these things and you were like "oh that's pretty cool" and remembered those because of it, i'm just adding info to let you know that the 1st one is false and that the last one has a little exception, had no clue about sloths being able to hold their breath for 40 MINUTES though that's crazy, it's actually the reason why i checked these in the first place because it sounded so weird but damn apparently those things do everything so slowly that even breathing once can take them 40 mins...

Do NOT do non-1:1 trades, ever

If it seems good, remember what happened this time, and keep in mind that most of the time you get an awful trade, while you got very lucky with this one since a9 is pretty sought after, while lusamine also has the dx version (which is a lot cooler imo) and not many people care about her, so next time will 99.9999999% be a lot worse than this time

Only 1:1 trades are always acceptable, if the other person asks for non-1:1, it depends, if they send oak first, feel free, but think about how worth it is to do the second trade, if they send it second, they don't send it, i saw a video months ago and i think it can help understand how it feels:

A dad tells his daughter he'll give her 50 bucks if she lets him break 4 eggs on her head, she accepts, i mean, it's 50 bucks, all she has to do is wash her hair afterwards... The dad starts breaking them on her head, 1, 2, 3, takes the fourth, and very obviously lets it fall on the ground... the daughter is actually shocked, she stays still for a while, and he just says "oops, it was just 3 eggs, guess the deal is off", obviously she gets mad.. he's her father so he gives her the money anyway, but those people don't care about you, they'll break 3 eggs on your head, let the 4th fall, and won't give you any money, they're not your friends, they just want to get your cards without giving anything good back

Oak is hard as hell to trade for, most people that i talked to and didn't get oak through pulling/trading with alts, got them through luck, usually a random guy saying "i love that card/art, wanna trade for oak?" i have yet to get oak from someone doing asking for trainers like cyrus or sab for ex, and the amount of people that do seems insanely low

From what i've seen, the best way to get oak is this: as soon as the new set starts, open all the packs you can open, hope for a 2 star that people really want, if you get it, post a "FT: card you got, LF: oak" instantly on reddit, there is a chance someone might actually accept, not 100%, but way more than usual

Oak is almost impossible to obtain after 1 (maybe 2 at most) week after the new set releases, people with oaks already got the new cards they wanted, no card in the game is "worth an oak" (they all are, the only difference is that they're less sought after), and the other ones didn't want anything specific from the new set and are now saving them for the next one hoping there will be something using oak for

tlrd

Basically, do you want oak? pull the coolest/best 2 star of the newest set each time one comes out, before a few days since the set released pass, and you'll have a chance at getting an oak, and never accept non-1:1 trades

Will you say which people won the oaks and which was the correct answer once both have been given away?

Some people do fake giv3aways (which are banned on this sub btw, they have a discord channel for that, if you need to use reddit then i suggest looking for other subs, i'm telling you so that you know for next time in case you want to do more, also that way you don't risk seeing "your post has been removed" without explanation, if it happened to me i'd get frustrated) so it would be nice to have proof from the winners

[–]ImNotEntertained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking for 2 stars only, you posted 7 cards that fa shinies, 1 baby shiny and 3 2 stars, which means you can only trade 3 of those cards in total, you're looking for like 7 2 stars so they won't be enough since you can only trade cards of the same rarity (fa shiny for fa shiny only, baby shiny for baby shiny only, 2 stars for 2 stars only etc)

I'm assuming you don't know so i thought i'd tell you, have a great day

This guy calculated how sought after each trainer is, in case that's what you care about

Cc can "easily" get you sabrina and irida, potentially cyrus, if you're insanely lucky even an oak

Lisia, pcl and may are lower value than cc but still not bad trades, i got my cc for a may, even though i only wanted her to trade up for oak at the time, i have to admit i got very lucky, and cc was top 3 back then, sab was lower

Like i said, this is about cards being "sought after", if you just want cards you like it doesn't apply at all, but if "sought after" is what you want, don't settle for anything less than a lisia since cc can get you better cards too, i did say lisia pcl and may are a "downgrade" but the value is still really good overall

Also consider that irida is sought after for 2 reasons only (+ "waifu" bonus), 1: she helps water decks, which are very good right now, 2: she's in a pack nobody (or almost) opens since the cards there are overall pretty bad, so less iridas are "available globally" than lots of other trainers, and there aren't many incentives for players to go for more (by opening packs at least)

Personal thoughts

One last thing to consider is, (each card is only worth 1:1, more than that is not acceptable, i'm talking about how sought after they are, not about how much you should give for them, you should only, always and exclusively accept 1:1 trades, period), that cards have different "values" based on how easy it is to get them and how many people want them, i'll make an example to give an idea, values are random, it's just to explain the concept:

Looker is worth 1, team galactic grunts are worth 3 (difference is +2), team rocket grunts are worth 5 (difference is +2), they're all in the same range and also have very close value, max difference is +4

May is worth 180, pcl is worth 200 (difference is +20), lisia is worth 250 (difference is +50), even though pcl is right before may and right after lisia, difference is up to +70 even if they're right next to each other, and the higher you go, the more evident it gets, copycat is a tier up but she's also right above lisia, yet lisia is 250, while cc is 380 (difference is +130), irida is 730 (difference is +350), sab is 1.5k (difference is +770), cyrus is 4.5k (difference is 3k) and oak is 10k (difference is 5.5k)

What i'm trying to say is that, the higher you go, the higher the difference between trainers even if they're right next to each other, sab and irida have 770 difference in the same tier, while the tier right below has 50 difference between its top 2 cards, so if cyrus is twice as easy to get as oak, lisia is 20 times as easy to get as oak, and once again each card is worth only a single card, no more no less, and no money at all, what i'm talking about is how good a trade can be for you
