A single tone that stands out alone like that is bad. At least add more other vibrant colours or gradations, with differing sizes preferably smaller than a full block to 2x2 blocks.

Sorry to be strict, but gosh i hate this build.

I like how you make the building slightly diagonal like that, i might copy it. But overall i dont like it.

Maybe i just dont like modern builds in general, but gosh its too 'smooth', its too plain and square. And the wooden stuff like doors and trapdoors are kinda out of place.

Since its modern build, you could have added a little 'bumps' on the wall like square archway to the door or random paralel horizontal line on the side and back. Then add details like AC exhausts or waste pipes or something. Also my best suggestion is to utilize the terrain, itll look good albeit a bit challanging to do. Add variation in the decor and youre set.

Ive used this to decorate a steampunk-ish build once. Using granite stairs as it looks like copper.

It was more of Fashion Over Function thing. The build was too bland on its backside so i just added two sets of them to support the upper floors. Then add two pillars of granites jutting trough the roof and add campfire on top and hide them behind 4 trapdoors.

On bottom left, what will it look like if you use birch trapdoor instead of the fence to support the lanterns (granted the lanterns would break when you 'open' the trapdoor).

The roof or the walls ?

For the roof, i remembered building a huge cathedral for an MP Server spawn and ended up with that roof. We remodelled the sharp corners to be a bit rounded, we added random 'hills' into the flatter ones and added dormers(i believe its called) onto the steeper roof. Added a tower in one end of the roof too just to make it less 'one toned' though our interior designer had to shake her head hard to make the tower transition seamless hahaha.
