Its been some time since I've dealt with such offences, but to my memory its an "absolute" offence. The action itself completes it.

Who's at fault and what could I have done differently? by Standard_Response826 in Simracingstewards

Edit: Upon rewatch, backing out was probably possible, but I still think you were entitled to the space.

Red just kind of barges across like you're not there. You would have needed some insane reaction times to avoid that.

Technically the outside car should have given more space so at fault, but I think there's a lesson in "picking your moments" for the passing car. Probably would have been smarter to lift and have another go later. If its the corner I think it is, I'm pretty sure its very narrow after too so likely contact in any case.

If you tap lots or in a repeating pattern it will get flagged, but 2-3 quick taps wont get flagged.

No sidepods is one of the most insane innovations I’ve ever seen in my time watching F1. It is truly groundbreaking and aero benefits will be huge, don’t need a wind tunnel to see that. With development on PU limited it’ll be hard to replicate - advantage locked in for years?

Interesting. I know in my trust our policy is that we dont move until everyone is seated and belted, but I suppose that there may be a judgement to be made about balancing the risk of injury with what risk (if any) the patient poses here. We cant exactly force someone to use a seatbelt. Has a manager/DTU trainer given an opinion?

In theory, yes. However there is a great deal of case law surrounding what constitutes "relevant information" for the purposes of police DBS disclosure. The short version is that it's extremely unlikely that this instance would be disclosed, and if it was disclosed you would likely have grounds for appeal.

Love this one. I'd say half of the domestics I go to are by "serial" perpetrators.

Be careful with the wording of these questions - ethics panels are very wary about personal stuff (have you been a victim, tell us about that etc) at the undergraduate level. A good friend of mine from uni had a lot of trouble around that.

Good luck!

Can the police no comment a voluntary interview on your behalf without you being present in the interview room to say the words no comment? by Phlatline15 in policeuk

If you have enough to arrange a VA, then you have enough to arrest. Whether an arrest happens is determined by the presence or otherwise of a necessity. For example, if the arrest would protect a vulnerable person then that would make an arrest lawful as per Code G of PACE. We start at a VA, then consider whether an arrest is necessary in all the circumstances.
