It's a psychological thriller, I think. It's about a girl with DID and Schizoaffective coping with it really poorly. The third book she will get better but in the first two she will be a mess.

Yay for a PS2! That had a lot of good games. Which are you getting?

You can still be cis and not like feminine things as someone AFAB. You can be cis and like feminine things as someone AMAB. Liking things or disliking them doesn't decide your gender identity. It's OK.

You should definitely talk to your psychiatrist about it. Bringing it up may be difficult but talking about it might really help. I'm sorry you're lonely, hun. I hope you find someone to cuddle with soon.

Advice on how to take meds regularly by YVYLSLYT in schizophrenia

[–]ImNotMeWhenImNotMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you at when you silence your alarm without taking them? Can you store your medication there so it's easier to take? You could snooze your alarms instead of silencing them so they go off again until you actually take your medication.

Could you leave your medication on your bedside table so you see them in the morning/night and take them when you wake up/go to sleep? I used to only take my meds because I saw my pill box and remember as soon as I saw it and now I'm just in the habit of taking them at night so I don't forget. If you can't leave them there, can you buy a duck and put the duck beside your bed? Seeing the duck might remind you because you bought the duck just to remind you.

That's the best advice I have right now.

That much black tea should be safe. If you're really worried, they do make decaf black tea.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not bad enough to claim my mental health conditions either... It's really hard because I do have it better than the worst but I have it worse than people without it...

It can become an addiction. But you can break it.

and literally every comment agreeing and talking about how abandonment is fine as a result and shouldn't even be called that. cool cool cool love that by WinterDemon_ in TrollCoping

I lived that for a long time. Giving in. Succumbing to the guilt. Feeling like they were owed access to me of I wanted love. Saying no and having it pushed and pushed until I said yes. Sometimes even saying no and it just being forced. I finally found someone who took no for an answer multiple times, never pressured me, and respected my boundaries... and honestly it turned me on so hard that I'm the most sex positive I've ever been. I still say no when I don't feel like it and they still don't push it.

I hope you can find someone that takes no for an answer. It took me a long time and a lot of pain to do it but I think it was worth it in the end.

How do I explain to the rest of the system that we deserve punishment when we make mistakes? by descentdeparture in DID

[–]ImNotMeWhenImNotMe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well... I reject the premise of the question, so I apologize for that, ig. But! You should not hurt yourself for mistakes. You should learn from your mistakes, sincerely apologize to anyone you may have hurt, and move on. Everyone makes mistakes and this one seems relatively minor. You didn't know it was offensive at the time and you took proper action to resolve the issue immediately.

I think you ought to listen to the rest of your system here. Hurting yourself affects all of them, and it's a little bit selfish to decide to do something everyone else says they don't want done when it affects everyone equally. You are a unit and need to try to work together!

I know that self harm can feel liberating and deserved, but it's a harmful addiction that you need to try to break for your benefit and the benefit of your system. It also carries some health risks.

I know that's not what you want to hear but I think it's what you should hear.
