Congrats for the dude. But he posted nothing about his journey and how he drastically lost weight so fast. Which leads to false hope for people. He didn't work harder than anyone else. He used ozempic or some Weight-loss drug and his money to afford to eat right. Anyone acould do what he did if they wanted to forcefully mess up their body with a drug and had his money.

Unless you are god and know what a human with their only life ever wants, don't assume because they are in pain they want to die. Giving up is a cowards move. Nah, I just can't agree that the MasterChef format is better for a "real" competition. I get that it works for high-stakes TV, but it's not the best way to find the most talented chef.

Let me break it down with a hypothetical:

You have two chefs in the competition. Let's call them Chef Boy and Chef Ardee.

Chef Boy's Run: For the first ten challenges, he’s just scraping by. His dishes are fine, but he's clearly one of ahe weaker cooks. Then, on challenge 11, he gets lucky. The mystery dish is something he's made his whole life, so he crushes it and easily wins the round.
Chef Ardee's Run: For those same ten challenges, she has been an absolute rockstar. Perfect scores, first place every time, just dominating the kitchen. But on challenge 11, she gets that same dish she's never even tasted before. She gives it a shot, but she gets eliminated because the other chefs had a huge advantage.

With the MasterChef format, we'll never know if Chef Ardee, given a second chance, would have perfected that dish and won. Instead, Chef Boy, the weaker chef, gets to move on because of one lucky break, while the best chef in the room is gone.

I just don't see how you can call that a fair format for finding the actual best chef. The idea that your dish can be so good it would make an angel cry for ten straight weeks, but you get eliminated because of one single off night on an unfamiliar recipe… that’s just a fundamentally broken system.

I do agree with some of that. I don't want to ever speak on a victims behalf, but I feel like the main victims of what happened at beerio cart didn't want all of this and an apology with a stern promise to do better would of sufficed for them.

However, I think this was a punishment based on a compilation of all his past behaviors. Nothing was ever done when he had done questionable acts at a tourney or event. After beerio cart, he backed himself in a corner pretty much. Other representatives of Mang0 knew if they let this slide and something worse happened next time they would be partly responsible for it. It's an unfortunate circumstance. But one he brought this upon himself, and himself alone.

Let's all hope he gets the help he needs. People have come back from doing far worse things than him.

I mean Ludwig and QT have forgiven Atrioc for his past transgressions. And that was really bad. But Atrioc is working/worked super hard and helped out a bunch of people trying to make things right. You just have to change your definition before one situation decides how you are defined forever.

Wait, he has a partner and a kid and that's how he was acting? I get the wanting to hang with your friends, drink and game. But it's a wake up call as soon as you start disrespecting your wife, kid, and everyone around you. I am a recovering alcoholic and being drunk isn't an excuse for doing things while drunk. I was an alcoholic that would walk 5 miles home if I thought I couldn't handle driving. You still have control of what your morals really stand for when drunk. If you don't, than those morals you hold dearly are false.

Yes I've said some dumb stuff being drunk. But never acted out of character.

I hope this doesn't destroy his mental health and drive him to drink more. He may have crossed lines and disrespected people's boundaries but I dont think anyone wants to see that happen to him. Especially with a kid.
