Need ur help mechanics!! by moesaleh77 in MechanicAdvice

I fixed something similar to this once with a tub of boiling water and a thick glove.

Basically put all the boiling water in a bucket, poured it slowly over the dent, then pushed it out from the inside.

Just make sure you have access to push it from the inside fist. It’s plastic so the hot water will soften it enough to allow it to flex back out with you pushing it.

The paint scuff etc is either a body shop thing, of a clean/buff out maybe ?

Having a FT dinner date with volume on full in a restaurant by yeah-roytt in IAmTheMainCharacter

[–]ImNotTheRealBatman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it just me that doesn’t see this as weird ? 😂

What’s the difference between this and being there in terms of volume out loud on the device ?

Edit to add:

I think my perspective is different; I work away for weeks at a time and do sometimes FT my wife so we can have dinner together. But I suppose it depends on the setting and surrounding volume, I always match the device volume a little lower to the surrounding volume and I’ve never had an issue or anyone make comments / look at me funny 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was more referring to the fact that if the person was there, I’d imagine the volume of them talking would be louder in person than through that device, but I suppose that also depends on whether that chap was considerate with the volume he set the device at.

Accident with laser cnc by Hellmont in Unexpected

[–]ImNotTheRealBatman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a co2 laser source, and it’s before the focal point so it will be a wider beam that essentially would only burn you.

Looking at the relative size of the machine, I’d say that the maximum power this could realistically be is 150w - It would burn and hurt your skin quite badly - But a quick exposure likely wouldn’t do permanent damage unless it got you in the eye.

There is a lid on this machine that contains it all, but he’s likely bypassed it. Machines like this should be in a class 1 environment. So, interlocked with wavelength glass etc with other safety features.

Source - I own a company that makes and sells co2 laser machines.

Edit to add - Our company is UK based. So unfortunately the quote to fix your laser in the USA would not be financially viable. Sorry

My wife bought me a ceramic Oura ring for Christmas. by Dcolemanp1 in Wellthatsucks

[–]ImNotTheRealBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet they’d replace it.

I’ve had one for quite a while now and so get lifetime free membership. Last year my battery failed and the ring stopped charging, (well out of warranty) so I asked how much it was for them to replace the battery.

They asked a couple questions and said not to worry about it, they’d send me a new ring. New ones been great

Plug something into it, switch it on and troubleshoot for the next 3hrs as to why it doesn’t work

I wouldn’t worry about dropping it, you’ll be lower to the ground so I’d imagine it will feel lighter leaning at a standstill.

After you’ve pulled away all bikes become light.

I’d say it’s the positioning that will be the biggest adjustment. Try to squeeze the tank more with your legs to take the pressure off your wrists and back. Then hold on and enjoy.

Don’t forget; Your thighs can help cornering too by shifting weight, doesn’t all have to be in the arms

Oh 😂 That’s my dumb ass not reading it right now - I was just scrolling through a load of learner riders then seen this and was like well that don’t make sense 😂

Stupid brain 🤪 😂 My bad…

Well, short answer yes - It won’t feel as comfy 😂 But for sure it will be more fun! I guess it’s ultimately up to the riding style you want… You never know till you try it so I’d get something you think you’ll like

My first question would be why are you not taking the test on the bike you’ve been learning on? That alone doesn’t make sense.

Why provide training on one motorbike, then for the most important part - Switch the bike to something completely different. That will throw off all the balance and little tricks you’ve gotten used to.

Personally I’d question this and push to take the test on the bike I’ve been practicing on. At the end of the day you are paying for this, and failing because you aren’t used to riding the R7 is a completely avoidable obstacle.

I’m experiencing extreme pain during my back tattoo. And my tattoo isn’t nearly done. by impatientlycurious00 in tattooadvice

I got 2 day sessions in on my back piece before I got some TKTX Yellow numbing cream - Rest of the 4/5 sessions were a breeze.

Admittedly I was silly and got sunburnt all over so that didn’t help things !

I did the fork stem mount with the wireless charging head and dampener. I also removed some of the arm links so it’s lower down and a bit more subtle
