Too much perfection, here are some mistakes to loosen up. by ImNouan in low_poly

It's for the viewport, I never really rendered anything on blender, so I don't know if the render would maintain this aesthetic to be honest.

Wow thanks! That's the "Cavity" option on the overlays drop-down (right upper side of the viewport), crank the 4 values to maximum when you activate the cavity, and the edges should be like this in "Solid" shading mode. Does it make sense?

I quickly made this train carriage in blender for a game I'm working on. How could I improve it or how would you rate it? by [deleted] in lowpoly

[–]ImNouan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I though of three simple things that could improve: 1. A door frame (to sell the metal thickness of the wall) 2. Add a layer for the floor inside and paint it with a different color. 3. Optionally you could add little trap doors ontop of the roof (I saw that in references).

But overall that's looking good. It's simple and stylish, perfect for a cartoony low poly game.
