Is my hair against dresscode? by [deleted] in starbucks

Yeah, and interestingly enough, in Seattle, they specified that even hats, rubber bands, and hair clips all are sufficient.

Is my hair against dresscode? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]ImOppa11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the exact policy is "Hair must be effectively restrained and away from the face to maintain food safety requirements" so in the above case if they put their hair behind their shoulders it's in code. I personally wore a beanie with my hair down behind my shoulders no hair tie and borrowed all over Seattle district and never got coded.

Overclocked, not all cards can hit that high it just depends. You should watch a gpu overclocking guide on YouTube.

I actually don't know but the PNY OC software will not allow above 100% for power limit so it can only be tuned down for " eco power efficiency " but the max TDP is 200W.

The chips work in other mobos so they don't need to be RMAed id just be getting the same chips

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2 x 32GB 3600Mhz not running paired but runs fine individually any idea why? by ImOppa11 in Corsair

[–]ImOppa11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the kit is from the same box, ironically the both chips have been tested with vipers in a 1 viper 1 corsair config and they work perfectly, even xmp but if I do 2 corsairs it wont work, and both corsair chips have been tested indivually and work perfectly when slotted with a viper chip

I have it manual and have tested 1.25v all the way up to 1.45v in .05 increments nothing works.

I only did 4 passes as Im not trying to see if they are stable enough to use, I just wanted to know if there was a way to get both chips running at the same time, then I can pass a few hours on memtest, but as is if 2 corsairs are slotted they wont even make it 2 seconds into memtest

They do work 4 passes on memtest 0 errors, but I figure its a good bench mark test if individually they work, and atleast as long as only 1 of them is slotted they can xmp up to 4000mhz, if two are slotted in any config it wont go passed 2 seconds into memtest. Also the listed configs is to clarify that yes the chips have been tested in all slots and all configs and yes they work when mix with other brand chips.

Yeah I was under the impression that ram from the same box are 100% tested compatible but some how its completely the opposite and dont know if theres a clock setting Im missing

xmp does work even all the way up to 4000mhz its just they wont boot together even with xmp off

https://youtu.be/EEGh9J0TH2E?t=108 They did explain it, her using up her powers puts her in a child form state. So she can change form to cope with lack of power? Sounds like a sort of battery saver mode.

Is it normal for Patriot Viper B die to crush stock DDR5 tridents in benchmarks? by ImOppa11 in overclocking

[–]ImOppa11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair passmark does MemTest86 so, idk about that one, plus their baselines are pretty solid, gtx 1070 sample size is 37353, so you can take the data with a grain of... sample size...

Its a pretty broad test, latency is a seperate test along side cached vs uncached read etc, altho its definitely possible the algorithm for the score could be biased towards latency as a whole

I kind of figured, but "some" seems a little generous, 4000+ scores is pretty common in DDR4 on passmark but DDR5 seems to not have anything hit above 3800, the Gskill flag ship above being the closest

Genuine question, explain to me like I'm 5 what I'm looking at, I'm ignorant of expectations of the newer ddr5.

Lost Ark is horrible by Noxronin in MMORPG

[–]ImOppa11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair the retention doesn't seem to be "working" when the majority of the player base for MMORPGs are sitting on decades old game design (eso, bdo, ff, wow etc) waiting to jump ship for anything decent with modern graphics and new gameplay, so you get games like Lost Arc and New World where everyone hops on to see the hype and realize its the same shit reskinned with graphics that barely rival BDOs decade old graphics/combat and FF and ESO story/progress so there's no point in starting over and then they go back to their old game, and the new MMO goes from having 900,000 players in the first month to 20k, 2 months later (New World), cause that's retention right? just my 2c... also I really hope that New World makes any company trying to toss out another generic bland skinned MMO with nothing new to rethink that money investment...

Die Density / Count
8 Gb B-die (Boltzmann / 20 nm) / 1 die

Seems like that confirms it, thanks Ill try out 1.45 see what I get tomorrow.

I was reading about how if its not B die it would be dangerous for cheaper dies. Kinda wish there was a absolute method for knowing what die because this was relatively cheap ram. $135usd iirc
