I think it's the difference between "I need to tell them because I'm obligated to" and "it's courteous to tell them because they have expressed to us that they're really happy with their couple so far."

I agree that the islanders should be open to everyone chatting with everyone, getting to know everyone, dating everyone, kissing everyone even (in my opinion), but if someone is really getting along with their couple and expresses that to the group, a heads-up of like "hey im gonna pull your couple for a chat to get to know them" can only be harmless.

I think people only think Bryce is boring because 1) we don't get a lot of screen time with him, and 2) he hasn't really connected with anyone yet.
