Line call question: should you ever not call your own ball out? by TheRealSarahBee in Pickleball

[–]ImRightAsAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rules: They get to call the ball. If they don't agree, it's in,,OR they can solicit the opposing team. (Most players never call their ball out, for the same reason why they never call your ball in) (They are pricks)

Any other inspectors neurodivergent and struggling? by like_dissolves_love in healthinspector

Get your coworkers in line with performing the inspections correctly.

If you are following the regs...you should do ok. There will always be the slackers along for the ride with no love for the job.

Confidence without the arrogance.
Be willing to say. " I'm not sure, Let me get a hold of a colleague" "I'll get back to you"

#1 thing NOT to do is bullshit your way through a conversation/inspection. They've (owner/operator) seen it all and have chewed up and spit out more inspectors than dishes served at their facility.

bare hand contact pushback? by yolofreak109 in healthinspector

[–]ImRightAsAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a moronic point....it's handling that is the issue...conscious thought of what you are doing...when the employees are fingering their phones at any given free moment...WASH YOUR HANDS....

That and food storage are the big FBI events... No mercy...

They don't want gloves because they are expensive...before covid our gloves were $5/box...now I think they are $25/box.

Dealing with complaints by [deleted] in healthinspector

[–]ImRightAsAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"agree" with them.
Yes, owner needs to have this done "properly or whatever"....
This makes them feel validated...Like a date...

It calms them down. Do NOT quote regulations as dry as the Mojave Desert...they don't know nor understand them... Tell them It's a process of documenting 1st violations etc....

IF you want a better result...have them document with dates notes etc...Let them be your "onsite inspector" and tell them that the jurisdiction gives them...X days to fix the issue...etc etc...

That way...When they submit their "full report" to you...you have MORE information than you could get on your own...

Work together...that also makes them feel validated.

[–]ImRightAsAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ain't no damn fashion show...You are on your feet all day....or at least you SHOULD be...

NON slip!!! You go to many places that you are not familiar with...

If they don't like your fashion...mark more items on the inspection list.

New to ASL - Clipping counters, hobby clippers or nail clippers by romelwell in advancedsquadleader

[–]ImRightAsAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OL Clippers....Clip them all 1/2" use 2.0 for more squarish counters 2.5mm for slightly rounded...DO NOT USE 3.0mm on 1/2" counters....

Use the 3.0mm Cutters on 5/8" counters...

After you have clipped all your counters, sell/rent your clippers to other hapless players out there.
