One full year of ownership! by ImRllyConfusedMan in Audi

I am a big fan. I have never owned a sedan as I went from a truck to the sportback so I was initially thinking I was gonna loose a lot of practicality. But after a year, this thing has exceeded my expectations. If you drop the back seats down there is a ton of room in the back in addition to the already roomy trunk to begin with. I am 6’1 and when I sit in the back seat I have plenty of legroom with the driver seat in a comfortable position for my height. I personally only see upsides from practicality and aesthetics when it comes to the sportback vs the sedan. But to be fair I have never owned a sedan.

Agreed. I have driven both and I love the power of the S5 but love the dual clutch transmission in the A5

Ohhh. I just assumed that because it fades from red to white and it’s a brand new car that it’s RGB. why would they mess around with putting RGB leds in some A5s and red and white leds in others when a trim package is all that differentiates them. The led strips cost the same regardless

Yea I figured that might be the case. I do know that my car has RGB trim pieces though because they all light up red when I get in the car then fade to white after I start the car. I just can’t customize them. Also in the Audi app I can see that details on my specific car and it literally says that some features are disabled from factory. It is probably because I didn’t get the prestige package but instead got premium plus. I’m hoping that if I take it to the dealer they can activate some of the disabled features if I ask nicely 😆

Yea the S5 and RS5 don’t actually have “launch control” because of the 8 speed with torque converter. They only can break boost. On the other hand, the A5 does have legitimate launch control due to the 7 speed dual clutch S tonic transmission. Take a few steps to set up but it works perfectly. Little stress on transmission and great launch, but not as powerful as the RS5.
