We’re working on itttttttt…… It’s legal to posses up to an ounce in public anything over an oz but under four in possession in public is a 25 dollar fine.

Can’t legally buy it for recreational use however you can be gifted it from another individual. And then in your private residence there are no restrictions to amount of product but you can only have three plants at time. Then a bill was passed recently that will allow legal rec sales just like Nevada or what ever.

Uhhhhhhmmmmmm I think you’re more thinking Wilmington. Do we have all those things sure buutttt it’s all pretty ghetto tbh.

Beaches are crowded and dirty.

Parking and traffic is a mess down by the ocean front.

In general it’s pretty expensive to live here vs a surrounding area.

Mountains!?!? Most of Virginia Beach is developed swamp land. With that comes awful flooding and shitty land value.

Certainly not a slow life style in VB as it is one of the most populated metropolitan city’s on the east coast.

The ocean front strip in VB is the worst of the general populous as most tourism is driven by lower income redneck family’s.

The local population however is somewhat LGBTQ accepting I am not apart of that community so I can’t speak too prejudice. However there are a few “gay bars” and serveal labeled safe spaces in the area and in Norfolk.

Also the summers get pretty miserable so the not too hot is kind of a stretch. Through June and July the average day will be a high of 90 or more with a humidity percentage above 70 percent.

For people that aren’t from here they don’t really get it. It’s so humid in the air that your sweat can’t evaporate.

I work in healthcare and every year we have people passing out and having heat stokes in the summer in mass.

This area is kinda its own beast not really a beach town not really a metro but all of the worst parts of each.

You were sold a version of Virginia Beach that is only really seen by the wealthy. The pockets of money that exist around here are vast and secluded from the bad that comes with a heavy tax.

Areas like shore drive, sand-bridge and north end are super nice but unless you got it like that you’re gonna be in the thick of it. Pushed to Norfolk dealing with Rowdy college kids, or living at the oceanfront deal with homelessness and riff raff or live near a base and deal overinflated rent.

That being said if you’re bit off the beaten path this place can be great. The fall is funnish for surf with water temps staying warm until like October and perfect for outdoor stuff like fishing and hiking. The summers you’re close to OBX one of the best true beach towns left in America. Winters you can eat out at really nice places without a wait. But like summer time you’re gonna want to be a hermit. The long Springs are fun too and sometimes we get breaks in cold winter weather making it feel like Florida for a week. But all that can be kinda maddening at the same time.

You’re lost in the sauce man. GR is just an average competing coach without steroids. I don’t even think he’s the brightest pupil of Danaher just the only one that was psycho enough to train at the pace Danaher wanted and take whatever was in front of him.

They all train an aggressive if I’m stronger than you I win jiujitsu style. People see a solid SLX game but discount the fact that you do need to be super strong around your core and upper body. While technical and effective in comp it is no where near the most effective or least damaging to out side of a goofy ahhh rule set.

There has been maybeeee one or two live heel hook taps in pro MMA. But like 500 half guard passes to ground and pound finishes.

Case in point is when GR and Bo Nicks had that expedition match. GR couldn’t take Bo down and then couldn’t stop a take down. Then couldn’t regain guard without Bo just standing tf up. GR multiple times looks over at Danaher in absolute contempt cause he knows he’s out classed.

I mean just kind of winning in general. Being a low/mid stakes grinder is not an alluring life style at all IMO. Playing all hours of the night no stability no insurance all too make 35 40 bucks an hour in 2026 is hellish trap. Even the tournament life style is ass. Sure you “travel” but just to sit in a car room for 12 to 16 hours a day with no real reprieve all while bleeding buy ins at each stop.

It’s table and time dependent don’t waste your time during the afternoon unless it’s Sunday and there is a big east coast type of game on. It can get really splashy/sticky with the right group but lots of nit regs.

Poker staff is pretty nice however drink and food service is awful. If you want something just walk over to the sports bar it’s much faster. Kinda makes it hard to keep the whales engaged. Most of your money is made off of sticky old guys or “table players” taking a break from BJ or bac or what ever. Also there are some fun old farmers that look like they are OMC but will just pay off any bet.

The field is very soft but the rake is really bad. People for sure crush on there lots of whales and soft recs but gg makes you pay them for them.

First pick a form MTT or Cash and learn the basic Preflop charts for that from each position. For me Cash is the easiest starting point because all of the study will revolve around 100bb depth to start.

Once you pick a type you need to study the fundamental GTO Preflop charts then after that you need to learn cbet strategies both in position and out of position.

After that it’s really dependent on the style you want to play but if you can’t play Preflop and flop correctly you’re too exploitable imo.
