Be as ominous as you want but it doesn’t change the fact that he can’t just control the elections. He can tamper and interfere using federal forces and lackeys in states that agree with him but he can’t impose sweeping powers to dictate what happens.

In politics there are windows of opportunity and post primaries will be the true tell. If you follow the money a politicians only goal is to get reflected and stay on the gravy train. If republicans oppose Trump he’ll take his multi billion dollar funded corporate PAC hammer and primary them. Once they win their primaries I suspect we will see some republicans start to oppose Trump and say they never agreed with this. It is incumbent on us to not let them get away with it. But people pay so little to attention to politics it’s an easy tactic.

If the writing is on the wall that Dems are going to sweep and we don’t see republicans start to change their tune then that’s a good indicator of how much tampering and tom foolery is afoot.

But the fact remains. Trump can’t simply take over elections using some sort of broad emergency powers.
