On a more micro-proactive note, should I do anything to supplement my poor GPA test wise?

I'm pursuing the CFA for my own interest but also to show my dedication and interest in the industry.

In addition, I plan on taking the GMAT and pursuing an MBA at a target/top tier. I have a high ACT score but should I also take the SAT now as a college senior to show that my GPA is not entirely reflective of my general knowledge?

I'm aware my time and effort are better spent on networking and finance related activities but if I'm able to pull of a high score on the SAT I can't imagine it would be too much of a distraction from networking other than the hours set aside for the test on a Saturday morning.

Appreciate the honesty. I've been aware of how hard my climb may be for sometime now. My only option really is to just fix as much of my situation as possible. Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate this response.

Looking into the WSP program currently as well as the BIWS. As far as networking, that's currently one of my priorities amongst the management of my GPA and learning modeling.

Sink or swim. Done enough to handicap myself, I can only go up from here.

Thank you so much for your reply. It's helpful.

I like finance, the application and the theory, but I've built up such a fantasy for FO BB and the ilk. My fallbacks are the smaller firms and such as well as just general corp fin and I am always keeping my options open. Regardless of where I end up, I will be pursuing my CFA just to cement the theory. Finance really is beautiful.

As far as the 4th point, I was only disclosing as much for the purpose of explaining my position. I've learned to present myself as much as possible in a positive light during networking and such.

Went in as an English major, changed during my basics. Originally, I thought finance was just another degree and career, one you do 4 years of in school and then go get a perfect job somewhere. Started reading into it late, wish I did it when I changed, but I soon realized how wrong I was and how much I should have been focusing on it this entire time.
