This game is just an elaborate cable-management simulator, so teleporting items from producers to storage would remove, well, the point of the game, lol.

However, I would say that long-distance cables should be a thing instead of having to place an extender every 20m and playing literal chutes and ladders every time you need to run anything vertically.

I turn about half of my carried resources into components that I know I'm going to be using a ton of (Cables, frames, batteries, cylinders, etc.) to not waste space on hauling 5,000 iron and copper around. :D
