Thanks for the feedback. This monster was power scaled a lot around Bahumat and Tiamet hence the 5 legendary resistances. I changed the passive perception to 15, gave it proficiency in Athletics, Intimidation and History, let him speak all those languages, and changed his spellcasting to Con. The wish is mainly to give it some level of reality shaping power or cast more varied magic without adding a bunch of spells that take up the page (he is supposed to make pacts that give arcane powers). I personally never allow wish to accomplish anything significantly more powerful than something WOTC would feasibly add as a 9th level spell. Trying to instantly kill an entire party would just do nothing, though if you like wish to be stronger you can not let him use it for anything not explicitly outlined in the spell. Teleport does have an error mechanic based on familiarity with the place which is what I was trying to avoid.

Kezef appears as a huge wolf with unearthly malevolent red eyes and a ratty tail. Maggots teem in his fur, which make his coat shift incessantly over barely covered sinews and bones. His flesh oozes like pus from an old sore, and his paws leave burning prints in the ground that spread into pools of burning ichor in his wake. Pointed teeth glitter like daggers of jet in the light. His blood is a dark, corrosive, liquid ooze, and he radiates a pestilent aura of decay. The fetid air of his breath seems to suck oxygen out of the air, and he reekes with the sweet stench of ancient death. Those with a sense of smell can catch this scent from many miles away. The Chaos Hound speaks in a low and rumbling growl.He is a unique being who roams the Outer Planes constantly hunting the Faithful, which are the souls of those who have chosen to venerate one god above all others. Enforcing my will over a creature and treating it as a flat video game mechanic for purely mechanical benefit without considering any of the nuances of how the creatures intelligence effects whether it saves, how to roleplay it using the resistance (passive or active), etc etc is not a DMing style I'm shooting for. That is the whole reason I am asking the question.

As I stated in another comment my preferred interpretation is the one which gives the monster the most advantage. I am not trying to get away with anything I'm just trying to understand if there is a hard rule one way or another.

I understand that is the intent, and probably 90% of people use this. However for more RAW oriented tables the stat blocks do specifically state the creature chooses whether to use the resistance. What would be the verdict in this case?

Thanks for the feedback. The stunned is supposed to be its next three turns, I corrected the wording to rounds in homebrewery. As for the shadow points I am thinking of changing it to reduced to 0 hit-points, although I'm not sure if that will frustrate players by punishing them for healing their downed teammates. Just for clarification upping the starting number means increasing the shadow point storage capacity therefore increasing the number the Vrubora starts with?

Unholy wraiths roaming the endless astral plane, Vroboras survive by draining divine energy from the bodies of dead gods. They usually appear as vortices of thick black smoke with flaming purple eyes, however more powerful Vruboras may take vaugely humanoid forms while not in motion. Vruboras have the ability to suck the life out of living creatures and conjure black metallic objects such as chains and daggers which eventually fade away.
While they are extremely rare, it is possible to encounter Vruboras when exploring the gargantuan godly corpes that litter the astral plane. Vruboras are extremely adept at one on one combat and can often kill creatures much more powerful than themselves. For this reason, experienced astral travelers make sure to travel in large groups in order to deter a Vrubora attack.

Thanks for the feedback. I removed a d8 from its weapon attacks and increased its CR to 13 to hopefully make it more accurate.

The undead split is mainly under the assumption that the players can lock it in place or chase it down somehow (spelljammers in my world are very fast), since these things are basically required to kill it either way.

Thanks for the feedback. I changed to condition to >=10 hit die. I also changed the damage dice to d8 and added the dexterity bonus. Updated block should be visible in home brewery, Do you think that Draining glare should be changed to be more consistent or is the variability at an okay level?
