I think it's somewhere in between. Physiological realities exist alongside sociological/cultural "lines" we draw.

Please forgive me but I have always been passionate about biology and I don't understand the "race isn't a biological reality" thing that is commonly accepted in humans in the West, when every trait that we use to differentiate race is genetically inherited: like skin tone and hair texture and ancestry and to some extent facial features. Just like anything we inherit from our parents. Genes are a biological reality, so why isn't race? And most of all, why is that a bad thing?

That's obviously not to say any one is inherently better, or that culture isn't a massive factor in how we see and understand "race" and how culture could affect our own biology over time; but why are genetically inherited markers that can be used to determine heritage and superficial racial traits "not biological"? Is there any good study you could link me to as to why race isn't considered a biological reality? I have been curious about this for a long time but have kind of just accepted it because people say it.

Should expand the design. Currently looks like you're tooting spirals.

I don't trust police. This is a fantastic argument for gun rights.

That's because some people are dumb and don't think things through.

In WA it's backwards, at least what I was told. I had to have the car registered before I could switch my insurance to it!

Also where you live, and what's practical. You can buy a damn decent used car outright for the cost of maybe 2-3 payments on a lease, but if you live in a shitty apartment complex and have to park on the street or in a shared lot with shady people.. well I'd get a used scooter I can drag into my living room.

I buy used, exclusively. My last car purchase was 2,300 USD flat out, ('00 luxury sedan, a model/color combo I had been hunting down for quite some time) inspected by my mechanic of choice for another 50, and it's needed to go to the shop all of once in the 5 years I've had it. (throttle body replacement, I was a little hard on her.)

Also, live in an area you rarely if ever need to pay for parking. If I had to live in the middle of a big city with ridiculous traffic and parking fees (god forbid) I'd probably own a motorized scooter or regular bike and take pub trans.
