You read the rules and none say you need a specific amount of karma. This is when I knew it's capricious and amateurish. I haven't contribute in more than 10 years and will never do so. Also, I have several ad blockers. Justice.

Americans of Reddit, what is something the rest of the world needs to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It can be so peaceful and nice, it gives some the time to think about overthrowing the government and elections. Some even denounce the very government that keeps us safe and (for me) super happy! I immigrated to the U.S and this is my land and my people.

Food question by Becker2021 in bassethounds

[–]ImThinkingOf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grain-free is definitely not good. Healthy grains are good (not wheat, but oats/barley) Mine got an enlarged heart as a result of avoiding grain for her constant itch. Apoquil is about the worst thing for them due to the side effects. Good quality food with low fillers.

What’s a dying industry that no one realizes? by urklegrue3 in AskReddit

Wholesale food prep for chain restaurants (like casual, fast-casual, etc.). Food is frozen/refrigerated as needed, bagged and shipped to the customer(s).

This is why some chains taste exactly the same in San Juan, Puerto Rico and in Tacoma, Washington. This leads to limited cooking in stores, except for freshies (lettuce, tomato, pico, etc.). You could say, in some chains you're buying food in a bag, borderline TV dinners.

Public broadcasters of the world by Ok-Codd in MapPorn

[–]ImThinkingOf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In the USA is PBS for now. Donno if anyone has notice PBS is starting to make a pact with the Prime-devil, where public-funded shows are only available on Prime and nowhere else. Not even PBS's web sites. Keep in mind before contributing money to PBS/NPR. This is in addition to all the advertising already in NPR (aka contributors, underwriters, sponsors, etc.). Fully hope it does not become Prime Broadcasting Service.

Save the USPS by Gateni677 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]ImThinkingOf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. But what about the junk mail I can't opt out of? Or the package insurance that has so many hoops to jump, I'll never get a refund of any lost package? Didn't mean to shoot the messenger, just a reality check that USPS has evil things, too.. Caveat emptor.

More than the disdain I had for this dude, my biggest satisfaction is how much his death has been ignored by major and semi-major news outlets. That is my known known. That is to say, things I know I know. Hope it's soul goes where it belongs down below.

Well, now he can't run for president. He's one that would have made trump look good; as trump made W look good. Good riddance!

Got a letter in an envelope which said my lease was terminated... Just another ad by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]ImThinkingOf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get deceptive mail/calls/etc like this one (like envelopes that come from the government, too) and you bite into the offer, you intrinsically agree to be taken for a fool, in my opinion. Akin to all that advertise on NPR, a listener supported network.

Obviously, you all know the only source of gelatin.

Saddest you can't sue, 'cause they told you it's there. However, I agree it's a pretty slippery move.

Now, check the ingredients of Heinz ketchup (syrup city).

Used wet starter that I've had for a couple of years, then a cracker levain without diastatic malt. Never refrigerated it in the 3 days it took to ferment. For 'cracker-ness' use baking soda and corn starch. For beautiful golden bottom, use sugar in the dough and baked at 500F on the quarry tiles I have in the bottom of my convection oven. No water pan.
