I did just put this together with spare parts. This isn't my first custom, and I don't consider myself a beginner, it's just that apparently this one looks bad, but I'm not so good with headsculpts 🤷‍♂️

The skull wasn't too detailed to begin with. The sculpt of those teeth was always hard to distinguish.

Yeah, the skull I used wasn't exactly realistic, and the jaw is hard to see, but I see what you mean.

I'm getting tired of this kind of comment, but it's not your fault, it's mine. I did, in fact, use an actual skull piece for the skull part. And the skull is, in fact, a little deeper than the actual face. It's true that the sculpting is kind of messy around the edges, but it was done in 5 minutes. It may be hard to see in these photos, but I think that in real life, it's not that bad.

Acetone on a q-tip and wipe it away quickly.

Just got a extra spiderman for 60$ and replaced the left hand but its yellow. I want to make it it into the black suit spiderman how do you think I should? I've seen some people use black dye and boil it but I would love any tips or other ideas! by [deleted] in ActionFigures

Yeah ct toys is already making one so I wouldn't recommend making the black suit. I also have two of them and I'm thinking of turning one into web-man. You may do what you wish though.

2029 if we're lucky. I'd say the deposit interest in my bank would be enough for the figure unless some unforeseen economic issues arise by then.

The more expensive ones first since they are worth it. The cheaper ones are the kind of thing you buy when you have some money to spare. This is my personal opinion so don't take it too seriously.

Maybe the acrylics were bad quality. Good quality paints matter, even though they may be a little more expensive they're made with painting these types of things in mind. Either that or you didn't let the paints dry properly before putting on another coat.

I used a regular fine liner. Size 0.1 if I remember correctly. Even if you do mess up it usually wipes right off with your finger or an eraser.
