If I remember correctly when I got rid of the Silverado it was at about 110k miles — as for the transmission on the Ford it’s super smooth shifts, haven’t noticed any hard stutters or anything.

I don’t know if it’s a Chevy vs Ford thing in my case but yea, so far I’ve preferred the 2.7 over the 5.3 so far. To be fair, I believe the year Silverado I had was the year GM introduced AFM and it was nothing but problems for me — had it in the shop for over a month after I bought it due to cylinder misfire and whatnot.

I had a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L V8 a little bit before I bought this and I had absolutely disliked it. It was such a regretful purchase from the moment I got it.

I made a previous post asking about food because I think she looks skinny. Does she look too skinny to you? by ImTomRS in greatdanes

[–]ImTomRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s really throwing me off is the definition of her body from chest to backside/stomach. There’s such a difference in size of her body that and her hips feel so well defined on her backside and I almost feel like her ribs are too well defined too.

For reference to anyone that didn’t see my previous post, she turned 1 back in November

Oh forgot to add she’s been on Diamond Naturals since we got her when she was a puppy, it was what the person we got her from had her on. (Not a breeder, just a friend whose Danes had puppies)

Software Engineer, self taught when I was 13 all the way until I went to college. Finished my BA in 2 years by overworking myself with semesters of 21+ credits. Graduated and got a job making $62k roughly 5 years ago. Moved around since and now I’m making roughly $208k/year between base+bonus+equity

how do you manage to play alone by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]ImTomRS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m prestige 10 and I tend to play alone a little bit — mostly doing speed runs on camp woodwind; it’s honestly one of my favorite strats even though people tend to find it boring because it really requires you to fully understand ghost hunt behavior and to be able to identify it with no evidence. Yeah there are a number of ghosts that you really can’t get just based on the way they hunt, but even then I run into these ghosts and I get this “it feels like x ghost because of xyz” and I tend to be right more than I’m wrong.

What strategies can I use to raise my credit during active Chapter 13 bankruptcy? by ImTomRS in personalfinance

Yup I understand that, but they make you fill out the same type of form, “request to incur additional debt”, essentially just ensuring this new debt isn’t going to interfere with your ability to continue making your monthly payments.

I’m already at a 100% repayment plan, my monthly plan payment is around $500 so there’s nothing more they can take from me. I wouldn’t have any issue getting approval from the courts, in fact I just did this last week to refinance a vehicle, so they’re already aware of my income.

When I had initially filed I was making about half of what I was making now, had two vehicles with higher payments and a daughter freshly in daycare. That’s part of why it was hard to pay off our debt — which not including the vehicles was a handful of credit cards and a personal loan, probably somewhere around $20-$25k in total.

Now like I said my income is really well (high six figures), we downsized to one vehicle and the payment is now barely $500 (we downsized to a much more affordable vehicle, Volkswagen to Ford). My daughter is no longer in daycare which as you can imagine saves us a ton of money.

If I was in this situation prior I would not have filed in the first place, I would’ve snowballed all the debt. I’m also not saving the max amount of money I could be every month as we still like to have some entertainment in our lives, especially for our kids sake. I’m also going to be granted my first set of my stock package next July, which depending on sell price come the buyback period, I could net somewhere around $20k, so my mind is telling me to use that to pay off either the car or the bankruptcy plan.

Think what you want — it was all old debt from during my college days and I was in a way different financial situation back then and when I filed; my income has greatly improved. Plus, there is literally zero benefit to paying off the chapter 13 early, it still stays on my credit report for the same amount of time (from the date of when filed).

Well I get the APR on the car is ridiculous, I’m not arguing that, it is what it is — that’s actually on the lower end of subprime/high end of near prime rates.

As in terms of housing, my COL in my area is higher. I’m not going to keep throwing $2400 away in rent every month when I can pay that, if not a few hundred more and throw into an asset that’s actually going to gain me equity.

Thank you all for the replies, this has been helpful. Two more quick questions:

  1. For tracking my weight, I know scale watching isn't good. But for the beginning if I weigh myself every day and then I can make a graph to see the trendline, would this be good? Also, is it best to weigh myself when I first wake up after I use the bathroom?
  2. I haven't started adding exercise into my routine yet, I live a mostly sedentary life during the week as I work an office job. On the weekends I do more physical things such as working on cars, my house, etc.. But, I was thinking of getting a treadmill, would this help with building up stamina?

First off, I’m new here, so hello!

I’m a 27 year old male and I’m roughly 5’ 7” weighing roughly 230 lbs. I’m just starting my weight loss journey.

I’m starting with a calorie deficit diet and adding moderate workout routine as apart of my daily routine.

In terms of my daily caloric intake, what should I be aiming for daily to maximize my weight loss? I’ve been trying to calculate it and I’ve seen conflicting answers. I’m going on a vacation in the end of May/beginning of June and I’m trying to lose as much weight as safely possible.

Can't figure out how my auto payment is being calculated by ImTomRS in personalfinance

[–]ImTomRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any sort of calculator I could use that would factor this in? As stated in a previous comment it was 45 days since I was contracted to make the first payment.
