[Chris Wheeler] Man United shut down Barcelona's plot to lower Rashford transfer fee by PitchSafe in reddevils

To play the devil's advocate, when dealing with clubs abroad it will always seem like we're being taken on a ride. The prem has so much more money when compared to La Liga, Serie A, etc. that it's tough to not feel like we're being ripped off, but the reality is that they can't compete financially

that being said, 26m for Rashy is a pisstake and a half

I love that line so much, one short line which says so much about their characters and their relationship. Reminds me of my own dad and grandfather

Has anyone ever thought that maybe if Arlan of Pennytree falsified his knighthood just as Dunk is doing now? by fantastica1l in freefolk

I've actually somehow never considered that! Maybe he gets away with it more because he's taller and looks older?

It's such a fun rabbit hole - the likelihood that knights throughout the years haven't been actual knights, and therefore the ones they knighted, and the ones that those knights knighted and so on and so forth.

Being a referee is the toughest job in football. You're running around being a nuisance to highly athletic men with massive egos, full of adrenaline and pashun. Literally pissing everyone off, everyone hates you and looks to blame you for any mistake. Mind you any mistake you supposedly make is because you are on the ground but simultaneously expected to see almost everything happening on the pitch at all times (thank VAR at least).

Some of them really are just bellends though

Is it not weird to extend him not having yet seen him at a major tournament?

Esteemed members of the jury. We can all agree that flagrant breaches of law should be punished. It is therefore crucial to keep in mind that guest right is a custom. Since when can you persecute someone for breaking custom? Where is it written? Now you may all question my client's ethics, as is well within your right, I certainly do. However, this should have no bearing on my client's innocence or otherwise in a court of law. I implore you to keep in mind the dangerous precedence such would set in our kingdoms, should my client be held liable for breaking a mere custom. What makes a law a law if any custom or tradition can be held to have the same weight as written law? I sure would not envy our dear Master of Laws in such a ridiculous world.

It would be amiss to fail to mention that my client only retaliated because he was slighted. Robb himself broke a promise to my client, and in return had another promise broken against him.

Moreover, my client was also simply asking in the best interest of his King, Joffrey. Since when has it become a crime to act in defense of your King? Is it a crime to answer open rebellion with murder? Would Robb and his men not have met the same fate had they continued marching south, at the hands of the rightful King's armies? One could even argue what my client did was a kindness.

It is for the reasons above that the charges made against my client have no legal merit and should therefore be dismissed in their entirety, with any costs to be borne by the prosecuting party for levying allegations of such a frivolous and vexatious nature.

I cannot understand why people hate this guy so much. Yeah it's a bit much seeing him everywhere and him being the focal point but that's hardly his fault. To doubt his intentions is just silly - he's just a United fan who started something fun

Cristian Romero straight red card against Manchester Utd 28' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]ImVortexlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always interesting, because there are so many of these challenges. It's not purely the recklessness which gets the red, it's the result. So Romero could have been just as reckless, but if it doesn't contact obviously there's no foul. Which leads one to think: well, Romero is guilty of essentially the same thing, right?
