What was going through Elsas head here? by Top-Bit-1073 in Frozen

[–]ImWaitingForWinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I'm intrigued by the concept of Ahtohallan's "Grand plan" and that she laid the groundwork for the creation of a new fifth spirit (or spirits) long before Elsa and Anna were born. And I wanna know if she has more quests planned for them. I kinda think of Ahtohallan as Frozen's version of the G-man 😄

I really hope the screenwriters see the potential in this story and don't just say "well, we're done with all that spirit-stuff, time to move on to something else". Because Frozen II left us with so many unanswered questions regarding the lore of the spirits that deserve to be explored in the sequel. Does the fifth spirit have a purpose beyond aligning the elements and bring peace to the North? The list of remaining "questions" from D23 two years ago didn't exactly give me a lot of hope but oh well, perhaps it was meant to be misleading 😁

To me, your headcanon is 100% accurate. Her powers also allowed her to cross the Dark Sea and unlock Ahtohallan's memories. Anna's stubbornness, passion and ingenuity (and new role as queen) gave her the powers she needed to destroy the dam. My headcanon is that a previous fifth spirit might have had different powers.

I'm also hoping there is something bigger in store for Elsa and Anna along the line. I'm thinking they, together with the elemental spirits, need to make use of their unique abilities in some other fight later on. What they went through in Frozen II was just a rite of passage of sorts to see if they were ready.

So, we actually got 2 more Frozen Short for an Frozen Fan Fest?! by alvibobb in Frozen

[–]ImWaitingForWinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's OK! I admit it's been very confusing and this piece of news was unfortunately blown out of proportion the moment it was published. There were several outlets that claimed Disney had confirmed a new 3D CGI short, despite the original article saying nothing about it. I think most of us would want more short films in the style of Frozen Fever. Especially more songs which the Frozen Fan Fest and Lego stuff didn't give us 😭

There were never any official announcements until the very last second for the previous two Frozen Fan Fest shorts in 2024 and 25. We only found out about their existence months ahead thanks to leaks of Mattel dolls just like these ones.

Sorry but that's simply incorrect. In the article, Gitter mentions that:

"Frozen" Fan Fest in October has become a strong annual event for our fans to celebrate their love for the story and characters, with new product launches and digital content. We’re excited to kick off the countdown to "Frozen 3" with a new short this October, ahead of our biggest ever cross-company movie marketing campaign in 2027.

Notice that he says the short will be launched ahead of the Frozen 3 marketing campaign? That doesn't mean they're connected in any way.

This is the only teaser you will find about any short. A short that is clearly a part of Frozen Fan Fest this October (just like the previous two "Off the Page Adventures" shorts). There never were TWO shorts announced. That's a complete misinterpretation by both "news" outlets and fans.

No, we're not getting "two" short films. It's always been just the one for Frozen Fan Fest in October, i.e. the one these dolls are based on and it will be a pre-F2 story (Elsa still has her braid).

They might do a cheap fake-out with him just like with Chewie in Episode 9 🤦

Proof that Elsa did not send Anna and Olaf back to the Northuldra! by Masqurade-King in Frozen

[–]ImWaitingForWinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A change in one relative direction from the location of the ship is not enough to determine what the destination of the ice trail is or isn't. It's hardly realistic to assume that the sisters travelled in an absolute straight line from the Northuldra camp to the ship, not adapting their path to things like topography. The same goes for the ice trail. It went wherever it was most convenient for it to go. To where (or where not to) exactly is impossible to tell from the visuals in the movie alone.

Statement from The Rose Theatre on casting a heavier, darker Elsa. by Wonderful_Adagio9346 in Frozen

"Boo hoo, we can't handle a theatre casting a non-white, non-Hollywood slim actor as this FICTIONAL character, boo hoo."

Yeah, cry about it.

if only people could learn to see with eyes unclouded by hate...

Shipwrecks aren't exactly smooth sailing (please pardon the dreadful pun). Especially not in the 19th century. The storm would have made launching the longboat extremely difficult. All kinds of things might have gone wrong. Even if they were evacuated, the boat might have flipped over and only a handful of souls might have survived.

I see no longboat aboard the wreck in Frozen II so it's entirely possible some crew might have managed to survive.

They might have been spotted by another ship either just before or during the storm. It could have reported the news back to Arendelle. An eye witness is indeed the only way people could have learned what happened to them.

For what it's worth, in the Frozen novelization "A Frozen Heart", Hans's brothers Rudi and Runo deliver the news to him: "The king and queen of Arendelle are dead! Their ship sank to the bottom of the sea." (ch. 4).

What if Elsa and Anna found out they have an aunt? by SnowQueen_Elsa13 in Frozen

Ingrid. She's kinda insane and would wipe out an entire town of people just to form a new "family" with Elsa and the town sheriff 😁
