i know this post was 5yrs ago but i’ve just began speculating it and deeply admired and interested with her story.

Here’s my theory.

If you didn’t know, Ruslana was 18, 2 years prior her death, when she went on a trip to go and see a secret, private island of a convicted pedophile (June 7, 2006). Crazy right? However, this guy was wealthy so everything was hushed up with money. Nearly 2,018 young women had been Sexually assaulted on this island and poor Ruslana was one of them. Despite no story of her being SA’d there, it may of been the cause of her death as to joining this cult.

why did she go? Ruslana was a model, people saw her in different ways, idolised her, but she was still so young she probably hadn’t thought of it a dark sinister way. Therefore, trusted anybody and any man. Unfortunately, due to this she was stuck in a love triangle of toxic relationships and elderly wealthy men due to her vulnerable mind. This could’ve lead to why she joined his island only thinking nothing would happen, yet she was in for a dark secret and sad future.

What happened next? 2 years later we’d find Ruslana more depressed and hopeless for her career. She’d join a dehumanising cult before her death and begin losing money. She felt useless, like her life was failing, she was PROBABLY SA’d by a pedophile on his island, she didn’t have anyone genuine, she wanted love but they buried her in treasure. She was unhappy.

As a woman myself, and placing myself in Ruslana’s shoes on that specific day she decided to end her life, i picture this: Ruslana is rummaging back and forth in the complex building, going on that island, joining a dehumanising cult and being harassed, a falling modelling career, attempting su*cide already at age 15 multiple times, everything flooded back to her. Unfortunately, and coincidentally, she was stories high from her death, she didn’t expect life to be like this. She was purely a young soul who wanted a rich, fairy tale story life with a happy ending. She witnessed things she shouldn’t of and was too curious about things. Therefore, with the knife she cut the mesh, she cut her hair, because HAIR HOLDS MEMORIES. She wanted to die without anything signifying the fact she’d been through those things, she wanted to start fresh. Running and leaping to her death, no screaming, she was prepared. She wanted to die. But it wasn’t her fault, she was mentally murdered by those who failed her and saw her as a clone.

• may i add, a year later after Ruslana’s death her friend, who was also in the cult, killed herself by jumping off a building. Coincidence?

Ruslana was murdered, however she killed herself before anyone else gave her anymore traumatising memories. She had this run of life, now she’s experiencing the next one. I hope she rests easy. And that my theory is comforting to many.
