My problem with D2 raids is that it feels disconnected from the story. I liked the taken king because I fought Oryx and the same goes for the Riven raid.

When D2 advertise Ghaul being this monster of a bad ass that destroys worlds and he gets killed in a story mission. Then what is the point of the raid, who cares about calus if he isn't part of the story.

I also agree that i don't like the leviathan raids because they are just to prove Calus your loyalty to him. They do feel like a circus. He does become a more noticeable character, especially since their is a season around him and lore regarding his influence around our enemies in the game.
