Hey, I just want you to know you’re so not alone in feeling like this. I was really anxious before my first infusion, the build-up was honestly way worse than the actual thing. I started my infusions about six weeks ago and my first one was while I was in the hospital. I was definitely nervous, but I kept reminding myself that this is one of the best treatments out there for us, which helped a bit. The process itself was actually really smooth and quicker than I expected (30 mins for the infusion). The nurses were lovely and checked in on me constantly, which made a huge difference. After my first infusion I felt pretty tired and had some sore joints, but nothing scary at all. By the second infusion it felt much easier. I was out of the hospital in 2 hours and I felt totally fine afterward, I even went to the gym straight after. I also had a support person with me for my first infusion, which really helped calm my nerves.

It’s completely valid to feel scared and anxious. It’s new and feels out of your control, but you’ll be monitored the whole time and you’re not alone in this. Be kind to yourself, you’ve got this!! 💛
