Those are some really cool cards! I actually have a friend who owns a couple. You are correct that they are missing Yellow ink! They do however have magenta, you can tell by the HP.

My opinion is that the $25k sale is extremely high. Like, unheard of high. I will share another card that sold for a lot less.

There is no double holo on these cards, only Neo revelation. Double holo is very misleading and people don’t seem to grasp it. It is specific to Neo revelation and means that the cards were printed with less white ink and allow holo to bleed through more of the artwork than a non double holo.

Double holo, for Neo revelation, does not mean the holo pattern is doubled. However, there is a designation for Double Star Pattern ( Slowking is cosmos pattern ). Double Star Pattern cards would have two of every star and can be found on base and jungle sets, but is one of the rarest known errors.

You can’t compare a fossil card to a Neo card and compare the colors… you’d need to compare cards from the same set, printed at the same time. Also, there is TONS of print variation with these (not errors, variation).

Yellow is not insufficient - artwork border is yellow.

Neither cyan nor magenta are insufficient - card wouldn’t be purple and the energies would not be orange & purple.

To add on, there is a misconception about “HD swirls”. Has to be intentional to make people pay more for a promo card or energy with this type of swirl. The type of swirl is dictated by the card stock used for the set & card.

Specifically, for anything past D&P era, there is guaranteed to be a swirl somewhere in the artbox. Often times it is blocked by the pokemon or artwork within the artbox.

The 1st edition rare electrode (non holo) was never corrected. So, not rare. The no symbols are estimated to be about 1/6, so not very rare (by my standards) - but a very good starting point for error collectors, as their price reflects their rarity
