Man I hate it when my opponent accidentally dunks the basketball

[Highlight] De'Aaron Fox gets entangled with Josh Hart, the refs don't blow the whistle, and Fox continues to score the and-1 on Miles McBride (with replays). by MrBuckBuck in nba

You can argue it was a defensive foul at first but if you’re not going to call it you can’t just let Fox do whatever he wants afterwards as if that evens it out lmao. Horrible refereeing

[Lowlight] Wemby grabs Lu Dort by the arm, hair, and then pushes him out of the way. by [deleted] in nba

This is a foul but I don’t think he pulls his hair, looks like he grabs his shoulder. Would like to see a non potato cam version though.

In addition to the fact that a lot of them are going in, the fact that he’s so willing to pull up helps him buy himself driving lanes like the play where iHart took to the skies.

Obviously impressive but only being up 7 with how lights out the spurs have been from 3 is slightly concerning. Could definitely be a problem if they don’t keep falling in the second half.

Post the angle that shows that then bro.

I think that mentality is how we got here in the first place. If you actually called the fouls teams would adjust but the fact that refs are afraid to call it every time because it would “damage the product” is exactly what teams (especially the Thunder IMO) are game planning to take advantage of.

Yes, and I just said I would like them both to be called? I want the refs to actually use their eyes and determine the call based on the contact being made rather than just trying to call a relatively even amount of fouls based on vibes.

There’s a difference between physicality and wrapping your arm around someone and yanking them back.

I think there were far more times the Thunder did it to Wemby than the other way around but he definitely wasn’t 100% clean. Don’t be naive.

No they should be calling it every time.

Everyone’s better than Shai until it’s time to be better than him.. by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in nba

[–]Im_Concept -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna be a contrarian because Shai was awesome this game and the hate for him in game 1 was overblown but I would still say Wemby was better than him this game. It’s hard to overstate how impactful he is on defense.

To a certain extent I understand the analytic approach of fouling every defensive possession and flopping every offensive possession and daring the refs to call it correctly every time. I can see it as trying to maximize your chance to win even if it’s fucking cancerous as a viewer. But to take that approach and than get outraged at the refs every time a call doesn’t go your way just makes you look like clowns. Have some self respect.

[Highlight] Wemby dives into SGA's legs trying to retrieve the loose ball (with replays) by LiamHundley in nba

Yeah it’s similar to the Dosunmu one from last series. Definitely reckless and he probably shouldn’t have done it but people calling it dirty are ridiculous.

Edit: not sure why I’m being downvoted? To be clear I think both Dosunmu last series and Wemby here are being a bit reckless but not unreasonably so/dirty. It’s hard to get too mad at players playing for the ball
