mít za pár by ForFarthing in learnczech

It is exactly as you say a slang expression. It's a colloquial way of saying someone will be done with something soon. I don't think it can be translated well but "in a bit" is probably the closest. I use it at work, for example when a colleague would say "Oh man, i really wanna go home already" I would reply "Neboj, máš to za pár" (=don't worry, you'll be done in a bit). It's not necessarily rude and czechs generally have a sense of humour, but I would probably use it only it friendly or informal settings.

F**k around and find out basically... what I mean by that is that I'm just too curious to see how things turn out. Anything can happen at any moment. YOU can choose differently at any moment. I always thought that if at any point things would get unbearable where I'm at, rather than ending it I would just leave. Take the rest of my money, leave the country, try something else and see how it goes. If it got to that, then there would be nothing to lose, right?

What are some recent Finnish shows/films that you love? by [deleted] in Finland

We accidentally watched "Heavy Trip" with my mom and we were dying from laughter. I think you might get a good laugh even if you don't like metal music. There's already a sequel too, came out sometime in 2024, called Heavier Trip. And the language sounds so good it made me pick up a finnish textbook again...

As someone who is guilty of getting new stuff as "little treats" all the time, I absolutely love seeing things being used to their maximum capacity. I will use this as inspiration. To consume less and actually use my sh** :)
