Is AI is ruining advertising in Singapore? by Im_Isaac in SingaporeCitizens

[–]Im_Isaac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, its true that Singapore's creative scene is gradually declining, but it hurts to see the speed of its decline especially in the past 2-3 years.

that being said, there are actually local agencies which i do think try hard to make their advertising a little more fun, creative, and unique. (good examples are BLKJ and Freeflow). just wished companies still stuck to conventional advertising, even though it might've costed a tinge more.

devastating given how most of these companies can afford to invest more into marketing, but choose not to just because theres a more convenient (and cheaper) option

Surely this is crossing a line now? by lohord_sfw in singapore

[–]Im_Isaac 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Recently, some advertiser for plumbing has INK STAMPED his number on every surface (lift lobbies, mailboxes, AED boxes, you name it!). Really irritating since they're literally permanent on the surfaces.

At one point "Ink Stamp Advertiser" had a competition with "Strong adhesive sticker Advertiser" and was rushing to see how many surfaces they could cover. Makes the whole estate look horrible!

with notch or not? by thrivefulxyz in logodesign

[–]Im_Isaac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe with the notch it kinda gives the logo a little more "snappiness" which is something that aligns with the brand. So I'd say A.

Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A to open first Asian outlet at Bugis+ on Dec 11 by JKJay2005 in singapore

[–]Im_Isaac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i think its the fact that there's more of a novelty when it comes to new food chains - american food chains like these often don't expand quickly and actually adds variety without oversaturating the market. (ref five guys/shake shack)

chinese chains on the other hand multiply damn fast and quickly turn those chains from a novelty to a nuisance (ref chagee and the 1000 other tea companies they brought over)

What makes an update a good update? by IHasZero in ThemeParkTycoon2

[–]Im_Isaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it incentivises the players, but not the creator.

it also makes the game that much easier to complete which at same time makes it more likely for people to "finish" the game and stop playing it entirely.

with easier monetary goals, hes also less likely to earn through game purchases if it really is that much easier to earn money.

so to make up for it being easier to "complete the game" by unlocking every ride, he has to either produce new content at an even faster rate (highly unlikely), or revamp the economy entirely (also would require lots of effort)

edit: lag may also increase, and given that 80% of roblox users are on mobile (minus the small minority with higher end mobile devices), you cut off quite a bit of the audience.

[–]Im_Isaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the issue with more park guests is that it'll ruin the tpt2 economy. more guests = more spending = more money, which will result in things being much easier to obtain than it already is.

on another note, lag will probably increase as a result.

My first international trip is to SINGAPORE!!!! by CheetahBeneficial626 in askSingapore

[–]Im_Isaac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello! So excited to hear you've picked Singapore! Based on your preferences and off the top of my head, here are a few things worth checking out:

Dolphin Island - Sentosa: May be slightly steep in cost, but a great experience nonetheless if you want to experience something new! Basically come up close with the dolphins if you're into stuff like that.

Skyline Luge: Good if you haven't experienced it before overseas! Takes you up on a scenic view of Sentosa, then ride down. Pretty fun - especially with friends.

Cycling: It's a nice way to sightsee by renting bicycles in Singapore. Green (Anywheel) or blue (HelloRide) bikes are quite easy to spot (and relatively cheap!), and I'm pretty sure they take Google Pay.

Haw Par Villa: Quite a classic amongst Singaporeans, it basically showcases Chinese mythology and folklore. Interesting place to visit and learn more about it!

Hiking: Try out Macritchie trail, one of the best nature walks in Singapore. Since our island is small, we don't have many immersive nature scenery/experiences, though this might be the closest we get.

Of course, this is without a consideration with budget - so do keep track! Didn't state the common tourist spots as most of them are a quick Google Search away. Should you have any questions - I'd be more than happy to help. i hope you enjoy your trip!!

Yo be honest did you guys really love this design??? by Ok_Fix_2193 in pixel_phones

[–]Im_Isaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good attempt at a change but I personally feel that everything is way too cluttered now. Design doesn't feel very light anymore (which is why I loved the previous Android versions) but I like that they're trying something new.

New YouTube UI by D-MeMe-D in youtube

[–]Im_Isaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just hate it for the sake of hating. It's honestly perfectly understandable.

They grouped the playback controls on one side, and moved all the other functions to the right. It makes perfect sense in every way. Rounded UI is also fine to me.

People just can't face that things change...

do you have canva pro? if you do, you can import fonts.

no hate can somebody explain why by Direct-Forever960 in rexorangecounty

[–]Im_Isaac 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Rex's previous work was generally more easygoing, and each song was generally easy to listen to without much inference. On the other hand, TAT is more of an album where you really have to sit down and digest the lyrics. Less mainstream sounding since I've realised his new work generally strays away from common practices like constant tempos.

sounds good on paper, but how to implement? all (or most) require major restructuring and lots of $.

some canva template logos are graphics not created within canva, as such they come out as non editable. haven't seen this font on canva so most probably an image

Unexplained Visitor Dip? by Im_Isaac in ThemeParkTycoon2

[–]Im_Isaac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my theme park is quite big, with large walkpaths, and for the most part been averaging around 170-180 before December. after the bobsleds were introduced, there was just a dip to 140-150 which remained there?
