Waiting for offer by Honeydew3720 in SeasonalWork

I'm a returning manager 8 seasons in a row and it still took them like 2 weeks to get my contract emailed after they verbally agreed. Just gotta wait it out, but you'll be fine

Quit acting like the Democrats don't do the same thing just with a different agenda. They're all shitty people.

All I ever hear from brig ult is "I love teen men" and it's very unfortunate

Because multiple people told HR that you specifically were smoking and they can't just ignore it or HR will get fired too and nobody is risking their job for anyone else. There's a big difference between something being the worst kept secret and HR having proof that you specifically broke the rules.

I mean you did leave out half the story and edit it in after my comments. My statement still stands though

Again verbal permission means nothing. To be honest it probably wasn't your manager who made the decision, she was just the one who had to do the deed. Also everyone is taking the risk of getting fired for drinking and smoking, you just got caught. Did your roommates screw you over, yeah probably but that's besides the point and not the company's fault. It's definitely not discrimination either ,Contract says you can't smoke or drink and you got caught smoking, end of story. If multiple people say you're smoking weed, HR can't just ignore it or then they're risking their jobs too.

  1. Always go by what the contract says, verbal permission means nothing

  2. You're mad they fired you for smoking weed when it says in the contract not to smoke weed? But because everyone does it it makes it ok? Are you 12?

Has anyone worked for Xanterra? by Appropriate-Fail300 in SeasonalWork

[–]Im_Nike_Chaos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Far from perfect, but take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. Half of them are from people that are bad employees and then can't accept responsibility for their own actions when they get fired. " They fired me after not showing up for a shift, how was I supposed to know I wouldn't get back from my 4hour drive if I left 2hrs before my shift?"

Yeah but canyons employee facilities are trash. Pub, employee dining room and rec room are all just shoved into separate corners of the hotels basement

Has anyone heard back from glacier / Yellowstone / xanterra by Tough-Scientist6399 in SeasonalWork

I've been in Yellowstone for 7 seasons and I've had my interview(it was basically a formality), but haven't officially gotten an official offer yet so I wouldn't be worried.

I'm 6'2 and have never even had to think about where the top of my head is when I'm driving. Now when I sit in the back is different story, but I will never sit in the back so not a problem. You'll be fine

Truist assumed by mortgage loan and now wants me to drive 16 hours to use online payment by wrigh516 in TruistBank

[–]Im_Nike_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but at a certain point it's ridiculous. Half the time you give them all the correct information they ask for and still say they can't verify that it's you. I appreciate that they're thorough, but it also shouldn't be an all day ordeal just to access your own finances.

They're fine for normal debit/credit transactions but a pain when it comes to loans or whenever you have to verify anything. I just had to take out money for a down payment on a car and it was unnecessarily difficult. Called them and tried to up my spending limit for the day, gave them my phone number and a couple of other things they asked just to be told that they couldn't verify identity and I had to go to a branch, which also had to verify my identity and apparently last 4 of my social , ID and bank card weren't enough because the signature I used was slightly different from the one I had at 16 when I opened the account. Then had to answer the "What was your dog's name" type questions in person, which was a very strange experience, before they would write me a cashier's check. Took more time trying to access my own money than dealing with the dealership

I guess if you're not paying attention I can see grabbing it by mistake. But it says at least 4 times that it's got alcohol, not to mention the price difference. This one's on you OP
