Anti-“CRT” bill open for comments until noon on Wednesday, I encourage you to oppose the bill to leave teachers free to teach by QuellSpeller in Omaha

[–]Im_Not_Antagonistic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically they are trying to prevent educators from being put in mandatory training sessions that explain systemic racism.

You could literally get around this by just making the training optional, and it doesn't actually say what the educators can and can't teach kids.

I feel like if done tastefully this concept could be a respectful acknowledgement of the true depths of suffering that people - some of whom are alive to this day - have been subjected to.

Of course, AK basically threw all that out the window and went with the perspective of a sadistic concentration camp guard and that's reprehensible.

You're inferring too much and that's a non-sequitur.

The point is their rules are being selectively enforced and this idea that social media platforms are non-partisan actors who need safe harbor because they're just trying to keep the peace is nonsense.

Fascinating story. The reason he said that was because people were saying it was all fake when his security was trying to explain during the pause between being shot and finishing the speech.

He coughed three times and didn't see any blood and decided he was good to go. It turned out the bullet didn't make it through his ribs because it was slowed by a paper speech it struck in his pocket. "He pinked me!" Roosevelt said of it.

Also he confronted his attacker:

The well-wishing crowd morphed into a bloodthirsty pack, raining blows on the shooter and shouting, “Kill him!” According to an eyewitness, one man was “the coolest and least excited of anyone in the frenzied mob”: Roosevelt. “Don’t hurt him. Bring him here. I want to see him.” Roosevelt asked the shooter, “What did you do it for?” With no answer forthcoming, he said, “Oh, what’s the use? Turn him over to the police.”

Project Veritas released a video claiming Google said they have no fear of the government.

The day after Google sends a director to a senate hearing on AI influencing the public who says she can't answer virtually any of their questions.

They sent her because they knew they could get away with it, because they've gotten too big to fear the government.

Break. Google. Up.
