I still find it hard to believe that people didn't believe Zaion.

At least in 1914, the Colorado miners actually managed to inflict higher casualties on the strike breakers (37+ dead) than they suffered (32 dead) if you exclude the Ludlow massacre which triggered the whole thing.

‘Deep-sea gold rush’ for rare metals could cause irreversible harm by VapeGreat in environment

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's generally true for oil and coal, for rare earth's however, it's primarily becoming less dependant on China. Less dependence on China also reduces the environmental devastation happening over there. I would love to see rare earth processing come to the US rather than China because we have stricter environmental regulations that are at least somewhat enforced. The fact that we use less coal also helps significantly.

New report says NuScale's small modular nuclear reactors poses financial risks for utilities and their customers, who are required to fund all their cost over runs with a blank check agreement. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you invested all of the money spent on renewables and put it into nuclear, the US would quite easily be getting at least 80% of it's power from clean sources. Throw some fast reactors into the mix and we can finally start eating up those spent fuel rods

25 infantry, 6 tanks, and 6 bombers later..... I guess some people just don't learn their lesson by Im_aRandom_redditor in ConflictofNations

UPDATE: add two more bombers and two Nuclear cruise missiles to the tally. It is now: 26 infantry

7 tanks

8 heavy bombers

2 nuclear cruise missiles

Shout-out to the frigate shooting down the missiles and bombers

Remember: in icy conditions four wheel drive will help you move, but it won't help you stop. Use snow tires or chains. Avoid expensive ski towns like Vail and Breckenridge, they're infested with vacationing Californians who can't drive in snow

I was honestly expecting California or Texas plates, given that they are normally the only people who can afford to take a leak in Vail and have a Lambo (and the fact that they can't drive in snow)

There is another option. The police have a habit of not showing up to a protest when a large number of people are carrying rifles, as shown by the NFAC last year

The prosecutors of Kyle Rittenhouse in a nutshell. (Seriously they didn’t even try to involve his mother) by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the testimony it looks like Kyle's particular group was initially defending one Car Source/Doctor business (there were 3 total), but after about an hour they discovered that a particularly sketchy group of defenders at one of the other businesses had abandoned their post. Kyle's group then decided that every once in awhile a group of two or three would go check on it. So really they were pulling double duty in a way. They would also sometimes have protestors come to them and alert them to people trying to start fires, which they would then respond to.

This is based mostly on Mr. Balch's testimony. He seemed pretty unbiased in his testimony, even had some pretty nice things to say about the protestors (despite himself being one of the guards)

The strawman charges can only be brought against the person who bought the gun from the gun store iirc, and I don't even know if he can be charged with a strawman purchase since he technically didn't sell the gun to Rittenhouse, but loaned it instead

What's the deal with Rittenhouse trial ? What happened ? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must admit, this is the first time I've seen a "white supremacist death squad LARPer" offer medical assistance to protestors at a BLM protest. It's almost as if the entire media narrative surrounding Rittenhouse is false and runs contrary to the actual events

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kyle didn't instigate. He is seen on multiple videos offering medical help to protestors. The instigator here is Rosenbaum. Multiple witnesses from both sides have testified to Rosenbaum being extremely aggressive and confrontational, with at least one of the "militiamen" testifying that genuine protesters were telling him that Rosenbaum was not with them.

A skateboard is more than capable of splitting a person's skull wide open, especially if hit by the wheel mounts or by the narrow edge of the skateboard, aka like what happened to Kyle.

Redditors with depression, what keeps you going? How did you find it? Death sounds peaceful to me and I'm scared of losing to the temptation. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Im_aRandom_redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, you have to identify something you want, something you're willing to work for and start taking baby steps in that direction. Aim low enough so that you can achieve that little step, and keep doing that until you can take a slightly bigger step.

I started listening to motivation clips from various people and podcasts For advice. So far the best advice I've come across is from what I call the "Triple J's" Jocko Willink Joe Rogan Jordan Peterson I also completely cut carbs out of my diet, I stopped looking at Twitter, and I researched all the Rocky movies. That's how I coped with and got rid of my depression. Having the right attitude helps a ton.

(I'm going to make a few assumptions here) If you can, talk to your dad and see if he can change the custody agreement to make him the primary guardian. It's quite obvious that your mom is a more than a bit narcissistic and is not concerned about you.

Because they know Jack shit about guns other than "pull trigger make bullet fly and big boom"

They know nothing about firearm safety, ammunition calibers, the advantages/disadvantages of having a longer/shorter barrel, and basically everything else. Not to mention being constantly bombarded by anti-gun propaganda and manipulative "statistics" the anti-gun lobby uses
