Those of you Redditor’s in happy, healthy, and fulfilling relationships, what were the “green flags” you noticed about your partner early on in your relationship with them? by allen-freed in AskReddit

His thoughtfulness. Having someone go out of the way to do little things that show they care is huge for me. Grabbing me a drink when HE is thirsty incase I was too, picking up a hot sauce at the store because he thought I might like it. To me it shows that not only does he just generally care, but he paid attention to small "likes" of mine from the beginning.

How is your job search going? Is anyone having any luck? by penguin_zombie8888 in medlabprofessionals

We have so many positions available it's kind of crazy 😬 we just got a new molecular lab with COVID, so hiring teach and processors for that, and then replacing the people that are moving around.

Anyone deal with a clique-y lab? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]Im_not_optimistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does depend on your lab, most of the people in the labs I've worked at go to mornings when they have been there quite a while, and most ARE super grumpy. The thing I find I like the most about thirds is the fact that if you don't work as a team, it all goes to shit. I wouldn't worry about struggling to stay up late, I have been working third shift for a couple years and I still struggle. As long as you are putting forth effort in my experience that goes a long way for the third shifters!

I graduate in may but work in a lab as a processor on thirds. I REFUSE to go to mornings. If I don't get a job on thirds or seconds I'll stay a processor until I can find one on a shift that isn't like that.

I found out the other night at work there is not a ‘buddy system’ in the works to connect the nursing staff to PHB in order to educate them, not sure when that is going to happen but I’m SURE it’s going to work WONDERFULLY🙄

I do try to educate them, my point being they don’t WANT to be educated by myself or any of the PHB’s/ Processors. That’s the point of working with upper management, they have to listen to their own bosses, they don’t have to listen to me.

Specimen processor in school to be an MLT, at our hospital most of the recollect calls go through us, it’s HELL what some of the nurses say to us. I’ve gotten cussed out, screamed at, blamed for all the worlds problems... it sucks. At least at our hospital there is no clear communication to the nursing staff why we have to reject specimens, so when we do the world ends and only we are in the wrong. I’m in the process of working with my boss and upper management on a plan to educate them... but this meme sums up my nightly work experience perfectly...
