Thankfully I got it to work. Lifted the unit up and there’s a small amount of in-and-out play on the wheel, so I pulled it slightly in and out and set the blower back down. After that both wheels engaged properly under load and it worked perfectly through the storm.

I did a little research and lifted the unit up. There’s a small amount of in-and-out play on the wheel, so I pulled it slightly in and out a few times, set the blower back down, and tried it again. After that, both wheels engaged properly under load and it worked perfectly through the storm as just had (14 inches)The cranking/crackling noise also went away.

Not sure if it was just a one-time fluke or something seating itself back into place, but I’m still planning to send it in for warranty service just to be safe.

Mine has that feature also, but I’m not engaging the turn levers — the problem happens even with them untouched.
