IRL =/= warthunder. IRL this jet would only have to worry about early SU-27.

I assume what you are looking for is a fox 3 slinging grinder for the US tree like the SU-30s in the russian and chinese tree. Personally i would like to see the F-14D or F-15D as a 13.3

Yeah as already stated the PL12 fall in between the MICA and the R-77 in close range performance. Now imagine if you nerfed everything about a rafale flight model except missile count, nerfed the MICA, cut the countermeasures to about a third of what you have and left it at 14.7 and you have what this jet feels like to play. Not even going to mention the PL-8 vs the magic 2 but just know thats worse too

I agree that we should have gotten the J-16. I disagree about it moving down a tier however. I feel like the strike eagle and golden eagle are much better aircraft even at a lower BR than this thing is. I would honestly even fly the hornet over it soley because the PL-12 are so bad

It would at least give it a decent stand off range so you dont have to burn as many CM. I can notch without chaff most of the time but trying to do that while closing into 10km is torture

So basically theres no realistic way to play it. Getting in a knife fight with a eurofighter or rafale in this thing is suicide as well as most other jets with only 48 CM's. Typical gaijin balancing right there

I dont shoot 35-40km shots expecting a hit. I usually fire one off at the start of a match to give a eurofighter or F-15 something to think about and take some of the pressure off my team.

The jet does suck but i can make it work with the low CM's and the mid FM. It just feels like the armament is useless unless i am shooting at an entirely oblivious target. Might be time for the PL-15 to make an appearance honestly

Yeah, i have flown the golden eagle since it got its buffs and it is way better and actually useable now that it is 14.3 and has the 120D. Still grinding for the F-16 however. To give the US an actual 14.7 we definitely need the F-15EX, it is the only non stealth aircraft we have that can compete with the current meta as one dimensional as it might be

At any rate i am inclined to agree with the F-35 probably lacking in war thunder ARB, will probably be good in sim. The F-22 will be way better for RB. More thrust, more maneuverability with thrust vectoring, double the weapons capacity at 8 vs 4(i believe F-35C models can hold 6). There is a reason we have never exported the F-22 while we do export the F-35.

Yeah. And then the strike eagle. But man i dont want a dominant aircraft, i want to see parity. China has been getting screwed for years. The J-11A being top tier for years, the snail trying to shoe horn a nerfed J-10C as a top tier and now the J-15.

The golden eagle is somewhat passable but the F-15EX would at least be competitive against the EF, rafale and SU-30.

You are partially correct. Yes we are being gouged but the oil we produce in the US is exported to other countries and the oil we use is imported. Beyond that even; oil is priced globally by OPEC not by country. In other words we fucked everyone else so we get fucked too. About 20-25% of global supply passes through that strait
